Don't think this is worth full price. Slow paced start (walking simulator) picks up in the midgame and then falls off at the end again. Performance was decent after patch 3. I can see why it was a big deal on initial release way back in the PS3 days though. 6.5/10 for due to the price. If you get it for about £20 then i'd probably say a solid 7.5/10.

I tested my other games,Cyberpunk,Horizon zero dawn,Resident evil 3 etc and none of them games went above 75 degrees,so it just seems the CPU has a problem with this game

Isn't 96 degrees really dangerous for the CPU? that's the highest I have seen it so I stopped playing

5600 Tjmax is 90°C so that isn't safe and will be throttling even before that

Think first thing you need to look at is what cooler is being used and what's the case and layout of the case fans

If the fan curves are correct the fans should be spinning really fast

Finished the game this weekend, was good but not something I think has any replay value for me.

Has the second game been announced for PC?

Not yet. I think they might wait a while due to the negativity surrounding Part 1's launch.

Don't expect part 2 anytime soon , Sony take years to port over to PC they probably gonna release it first on PS5

The cooler is a Arctic one that came with the pre built,and it has 5 fans,two at the front as intake(it had 3 but I had remove the middle one to fit the GPU in) and 2 exhaust,one at the top and back

I will probably look into setting a fan curve as I just have the fans set to 65% max speed on Adrenaline,but it's never been that high on any other game

Edit:Looks like it's a cheap £10 cooler,so it looks like there's the problem

just looks like the cpu cooler isnt doing a good job cooling the CPU, or the fan curves isnt working when cpu gets hotter the fans should also speed up

Just copied a undervolt guide and now I'm getting around 70 degrees,so I can finally get back to playing the game

This game still needs a lot of work - I played a few hours yesterday and was getting sub-50 fps in Bill's Town on a 5800X3D and 4090 - terrible performance considering how basic the game is.

Funnily enough im at the same point, but im getting about 100-110 fps with a 4090 and 12900k. Everything on max with DLSS on quality.

5800x3d + 3080 1440p preset high , bill town fps didnt dip below 60fps but still notice its not smooth rest of the game was pretty much fine
wonder if its the 5800x3d struggling ?
