March 3rd, we finally have a release date for PC

Getting out of bed and drinking a Bundaberg to celebrate this news lol.

Nice. I did enjoy playing it on the PS4 back in the day. Won’t be a day 1 purchase from me, but certainly at some point will buy it to add to my steam collection and play again :D

I bought a PS3 just for the first game, then got the DLC and once completed, sold the bundle. Was one of the greatest gaming experiences of all time since Goldeneye 64, Mario 64 and Banjo Kaziie on N64 and ever since then I dreamt of experiencing it again but on PC with superior graphics and now on ultrawide.

Never finished it on the PS4, got to a graveyard full of zombies, and then lost interest in console gaming once I got an UW monitor.

What I remember: awesome graphics for a console, engaging story, but somewhat clunky combat and switching of weapons, etc.

Really hope the devs have improved on that aspect.

Looking forward to revisiting it.

I've held off buying the latest edition for PS5 so that I can get it on PC. March does feel like a long time away but hopefully will be worth it to play on PC with everything turned up on an OLED.

I also bought an old PS3 slim solely to play this and RDR1 and the first three Uncharted games, then it will go back on Ebay as I hate using a controller

I have never played anything quite so gripping as The last of us and all the struggles they have against relentless enemies, it's a very long game as well
The PS3 graphics weren't as bad as I expected but having played it I now have no need to spend ££ on the upcoming PC version. :D

For those of you into that kind of thing.... :p

Although I do have a Steam Deck. I wouldn't consider it powerful enough to play these games at an enjoyable level.
I see people complaining on the forums about how such a AAA game doesn't run well enough. Ya don't say...

I've never played The last of us but have always wanted to. I will deffo be gracing my PC with it and enjoying it with full visuals and performance.
Although Days Gone runs very well on the Steam Deck, and many others. I prefer to use My Steam Deck for mainly emulation on the go. Which it is perfect for.

as awesome as the steam deck is, there are certain games you don't play first time on one.

Think your memory is playing tricks. the main story is about 13 hrs and 100% is around 25.

That's fine, a solid PC port at launch, they probably saw the response to Dead Space and thought "we need some of that cake slice".
