PIP has been ruined by all the jobsworths abusing the system.

Looking at the overview of it as well: You may be able to get help with some of the extra costs caused by long term ill-health or disability.

I'm not surprised they don't hand it out willy nilly as proving something like agoraphobia is long term ill-health or a disability is rather difficult.

Isn’t PIP for people who can’t work due to mental health?

No it's meant for expensescaused by your illness

Like if you say you have difficulty washing yourself because you can't get in and out of the bath you get it to install hand rails etc.

It's not just money for being ill.

Thats why there's a lot of anger as people are often expecting life long payments for one off expenses.

Ie once you've put those hand rails in the payments stop because the expense has been paid.

What expense to manage your condition are you wanting to use pip for?

It's not meant for food etc

While what you said is 100% true generally PIP can be given on a long-term basis if you really can't work. But the true disability benefit is ESA. Of course all of this is going to change soon with the move over to Universal Credit which has already started in some areas on the country, and when that takes effect you'll be given £x a month and that is meant to pay for your day to day expenses as well as any needed expenses for your disability.

Depending on what your condition is though you can get PIP long term.

Best thing you can do is to say this to the customer support on the websites you gamble on. They have a level of care towards their customers and will take action to stop you spending more.

I spent 7 years working in online bingo and casino and it's not rigged, but it certainly leans away from the clients. We had one guy complaining he'd been on 24 hours and won nothing, having checked his history he'd actually won and wagered a total of 1 million pounds in that time, but as they were smaller wins he didn't count them, he was chasing the big win.

You will never make your money back on gambling, for everyone I saw win big, I saw 100+ losing big. That's one of the reasons I left the industry in the end.

Accept that, close accounts and look at doing something more fulfilling with your time.

There's a reason the phrase "The house always wins" exists, @Xclockerx . Gambling is their business and of course they intend to profit from it.

More importantly I would take some steps towards self care. Start a conversation with your local IAPT about your thoughts on suicide. I've developed an unhealthy interest in it since seeing a couple of friends go and it's taking up more of my brain than I'm comfortable with. It isn't healthy, and the first step is to talk to someone about it (like you have here).

Nah the online roulette is rigged I don’t play bingo so not sure about bingo

They're only rigged in the sense that they're designed to take your money off you, just as live roulette is - namely by the presence of a zero (or zeros) on the wheel but paying out bets at what would be fair value if the zero(s) wasn't there.

You're going to lose money in the long run playing these games whether online or in a live casino - if this is causing you problems then you're best off seeking help for gambling addiction.

You should also look into self exclusion - this should at least work for UK operators:

Rigged as in it avoids numbers you bet on also how can a game so frustratingly annoying be played responsibly?

I think that is more likely down to gambling addition, they've got no need to rig it as it is already in their favour - you might subjectively believe that it is rigged because you've remembered specific instances where you were unlucky.

Do you believe you can win in live roulette or do you understand that you'll lose money playing that too?
