And how the **** does this bother you??, just another stupid islamophobe having a rant and rave by the looks of it. Yet seems like any other countries internal problems are a problem for OCUK and its resident xenophobes/islamophobes here.

Seriously fella get a grip:rolleyes:. FFS its only valentines day they disagree with...not like its the end of the world is it??. Wow it sounds like some of you have some serious issues...id hate to see what would happen if they started burning bday cards:p.
Couldn't agree more.

It's also a shame BBC News decided to choose that photo over one of the other photos Asif Hassan (AFP) took in Karachi today. Young couples strolling along the beach, street vendors selling heart-shaped balloons, flower vendors doing a roaring trade...

This 'liberation' produces these people. Atleast we have a system to keep us intact without commiting vile acts as seen in society. What are these people given? Help? Come on. Any person with a brain will realise that there are no limits to man.
What a load of arrogant drivel. So under sharia no crimes are committed, well child abuse will be less rare as marriage is legal at 9 and especially if you allow muta marriages AKA legalised prostitution.

Lets not forget that in western society there are more laws against sex crimes and we don't require 4 'good' male witnesses to a rape. Then again that must help with keeping the stats low.

8 pictures (some of muslims) enjoying valentines day and 1 of them reacting negatively to it.
I think that is called balance. What is wrong with showing all reactions to it?

So we should moderate our actions because of extremeists?

No we shouldn't, we should realise that "normal" Muslims are very much into Valentines Day and treat it the same way we do. The extremists should be treated with the contempt that they deserve after demonstrating over something like this.

So you would have had no problem with the publication of the cartoons then?

I didn't buy a Valentines card for my other half, she didn't buy one for me, hardly news is it!

Is that the same as burning them in protest at western society?
Or is it more a case of being tight ;)

It was intended to get a reaction - which it clearly has:(

What was? Buying a bunch of cards to burn in a group infront of photographers? Yup, seems like they wanted to create a reaction alright.
Damn the BBC for reporting the facts.

More just a case of knowing that some e are fed by "western society" are just a load of old bull.
A £2 card as a reminder of your love...... what a terrible aspect of western culture........
Imagine actually going to a shop to pick through a load of cards until you find one that expresses the love that you have for your wife and then giving it to her ..... they should ban it  What a dreadful nasty custom, bring back ducking stools - far more civilised.

So the BBC report on a "staged" incident laid on by some fanatics!

Why shouldn't they? There is a longer article on the level of resentment felt by some older indians and pakistanis towards the embracing of western culture by the youth on the BBC site. Perhaps you should read it..... after all the pictures merely reflect real life....

Make your own then skinflint :)
Saint Valentines Day is Feb 14th and it is traditional for lovers to send each other trinkets / cards / expressions of love. Show some respect for their beliefs dammit :D

I haven't seen the images to comment on them. I'm not surprised at the reaction they produced though considering one of the main Islamic laws is about images of the prophet Mohammed.

What you mean they don't all want to watch Baseball, eat McDonalds and worship money, damn them all to hell!

There have been some pretty large anti "globalistation" rallies in the last few years usually around the G8 summits, didn't see too many idians or pakistanis in the crowd!

They were rubbish.
However, should the world tailor itself to the beliefs and sensitivities of Islam?
Muslims have chosen to move around the world and live in other countries, if they don't like the places that they have chosen to move to then they don't have to stay there. It is more than a bit rich to move somewhere and then demand the inhabitants follow your rules....
