There’ll be plenty of fans who want it to, omnom and baz on here for sure.

I personally hate it, it takes any meaning away from the PL (the chance to play in the elite tourney each season) . As the six break away teams can’t be relegated from the super league they have no incentive to push top 3 , they just get the reward each and every season.

it’s a lazy cash grab from teams scared of other teams (in the PL teams like Leicester) who’ve spent years trying to establish themselves in that top 3-6 battle.

I'm waiting for a response from the managers and players, see how much they value this new ESL. I'd love it if Kopp or Pep resign as a stand against this pile of ****
 
They've probably seen the dollar signs with services like netflix and disney plus and have this bright idea of using their own streaming service to pay as a yearly subscription or per game.

No need to apologise but my problem with the reactions are they are completely overblown and largely hypocritical by people like Neville who I'm sure didn't have an issue taking the coin when he started his career just as the premier League was formed. Baz has said he isn't happy with the current format and neither am I but the idea that someone with as big a platform as Neville is spouting some absolute toilet is laughable.
 
If the clubs were allowed to maintain domestic competition im not against it

if it meant expulsion then im against it

fa etc are blowing smoke they would not ban them from domestic competition it would kill of the league so they cant do that.

next few months going to be spicy

According to what's been said by "the super league" they will still play in the domestic league.

I'm still not for it even if that turns out to be the case

I don't think I'm for it either. Could you imagine winning it? Wouldn't be the same as the CL in my opinion. My main issue is the reactions like docking points etc. That's just a massive overreaction and well silly.

It would be worse IMO if the super league played every midweek for the whole season (whereas the CL isn't). As mentioned before these "big six" teams would play their best players always in the better paying Super league. Then as long as they aren;t relegated from the PL, they'll play as weak a side as they can get away with on the weekend. Week in and week out and why? Because to them, as the PL money is about the same regardless of position there's nothing to play for other than avoiding releagation. There'll be no Europa / CL to care about.
 
It’s obvious our big six want it because our league is very tight and none of them are guaranteed champs league football each year. It would make better financial sense and offer them more stability and the ability to plan long term than at present. Bayern and PSG don’t have that issue.

It still sucks ass though.
