If this does go ahead, will be interesting to see how fans really react. Season ticket sales will be a good indicator.

also, did anyone notice how the sky statement last night didn't mention anything about them not wanting to take on the TV rights. They simply said they had not engaged in any conversations.

Nobody is being asked to kill their own family. Capitalists who have purchased football clubs or run football organisations would be financially punishing themselves. You're incredibly naive if you believe they're principles would lead them to doing this.

How about a response from the owners who've proposed it? Why should it be on the players and managers to take the flack?

They don't give a **** what the manager or players think either. Otherwise, they would have consulted them beforehand.

Breaking up the game that anyone can go from a Sunday league team and work their way into the PL and then European champions?

We will have that, if these teams don’t want to be a part of it, they can go play in their own sandbox. That’s their choice, but you can’t have both.

No, my argument is that most of the owners of non big 6 sides, UEFA and FIFA don't have the principles you believe them to have. If you offered Ashley at Newcastle or Moshiri at Everton the chance to join this league they would jump at the chance. They didn't buy their clubs because of their love for the club, they doubt even care about the sport at all - they purchased these clubs as financial investments and will take the decision that results in the best return for their investment. They're certainly not going to make a decision that financially ruins their clubs.

Are you not a bit fed up with seeing the same old teams winning the league every season?

Maybe this I just what we need to break that merry-go-round.
