The only thing which seems feasible is that they've left it at the pub on the end of my street.

I'm on my new Macbook Pro. It looks good, feels good. The speaker holes look ugly though.
The screen calibration is horrendous, I mean actually appalling. I'll need to calibrate mine.
Trackpad is a bit meh - already getting some of the reported missed-clicks problems; had to enable tap-to-click which is a bit better. Right-clicking is still sometimes missed, however.
Will soon post a thorough review.

Thats been professionally calibrated.
Drop it into Macintosh HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays and then obviously select it from System Preferences/Displays/Colors.
Note that the config is supposed to be for a 9C84 panel.

Is it UPS? If so, they have a depot in Charlton which may explain things.
I only know this as they returned my Iphone to the Charlton depot, despite me living under 5 minutes walk from their Croydon depot.....

Fortunately it wasn't in Charlton - would have been a hike for me!
They'd left it at the pub. Little bit naughty but it's safe and sound so no complaints here.

very strange, my macbook got delivered today, but the nano I got with it was nowhere to be seen - the TNT guy said "the other box MIGHT be here tomorrow, but I didn't say that" - The nano's said "Ship in 24hrs" when I ordered it as well.

Surely that's only useful if you are using the same brand LCD panel which your post doesn't state?

If you read this thread, there are different panels for the new MBPs just like the previous MBPs.

Ah right was not aware of this, anything is an upgrade from my Gen 1 MBP but out of interest which model # screen is considered the best?
I have a Spyder 3 Elite I can use on it whatever but would be nice to know what to look for.

I had to use a profile for my brand screen on my MB, it was a lot better though IIRC mine was a 9c8c

It seems that no one has names to go with the manufacturer codes yet as seen in this thread. However, LG and Samsung were among the higher quality panels for the previous MBPs.
