*** The new MacBook/MacBook Pro thread, all info in here ***

I am not happy... Got my MacBook today but the battery case is not flush and moves. I have the choice to take it to an Apple store or have a new MacBook sent to me which will take another week ><
 
My MB 2.4 arrived today. Haven't had a lot of time to play with it so far, but liking it to press. Very solid feeling, more so than any laptop I have used before. The Trackpad is also very good. I actually prefer it to the Bluetooth mouse I bought :o
Just learning the ropes now. Getting various apps installed. Been a pleasure so far.
The Screen is fine too imho. A lot of people have slated it but I think it looks pretty good.

The Trackpad gestures are pretty cool too, really nice to navigate around the web using swipes and drags :)
 
Lots of reports of right clicks not always being picked up by the new trackpad. Is this common or just the few that have the problem making a lot of noise?
 
Got mine yesterday..

There is a tiny (and I mean 0.5mm or less) blemish to the left of the track pad, like some sort of discolouration - have tried removing it with a cleaning cloth without any success. Can anyone recommend something to try and use on it? (it's only visible if you press your nose up to the case to see it but as I'm a perfectionist/OCD freak about stuff like this it's bothering me). I know Apple will laugh at me if I thought about returning it (and I can't be bothered anyway)

Also, my iPod Nano came in a different box with someone elses packing slip! Should I be worried about that? (it had the right iPod Nano that I had ordered), and the guys order was for a different colour Nano....

Right, who the hell is M FNANNA and why has he signed for my parcel? Does this mean it was delivered by TNT or it has been delivered to TNT? I'm really confused!

Help me, some upstart has my macbook!

SWEET MERCIFUL JESUS!!

I just got off the blower to Apple and was conferenced into a call with TNT, to be informed that the crazy delivery guy has left my package with a complete stranger at no 75! I'm at no 95! I have no idea where 75 even is! After many questions TNT have logged a support call for me to try and find out why the driver left it there, but the lady recommended that there may be a note at my door left by the driver or indivdual informing me, or to go round and ask for the package! She said they'll ring me in a few hours with some more info.

And "M FNANNA"? Is that even a real name?!?

Right now I just hope there is a note at the door and I can go and collect it, but the TNT lady was very apologetic saying that the driver should not have left it with this person! Apple support were very good too and the girl said to let her know what happens and she'll take care of getting me sent a new one if it all goes to ****!

And all this after city link didn't deliver my tv this week and I had to get a taxi to the depot! I'm never buying anything again ever! [not including future Apple laptop revisions ;)]
