I just got this board today with my E6700 and G-skill HZ6400. I think it Asus PC probe 2 thats not reading correct in windows as I have the same sort of voltages showing yet in the bios they are a lot more stable. Temps are all over the place on Probe as well. What are people using to measur ein windows as I cant get MBM to work(or how do you get it to read temps).

People neeed to realise that these readings from the software are rubbish. Get a multimeter and measure the voltages directly off the mosfets on the board itself.

Watch out for the Vdroop with the P5B-D too, especially during load.

Put together my Conroe setup this week....
Asus P5B-Deluxe; E6600 Week28 (replaced E6400);GSKILL 6400HZ; Seasonic 600w....cooling by Big Typhoon with Panaflo 120M1A fan

Currently at 9x400, 3.6ghz with bios vcore at 1.525v, which shows 1.46v in Probe and 1.44v under 100% load. ORTHOS stable, tested overnight :)

Also, the GSKILL ram is great....running with 4:5 setting, so, at DDR2-1000 with 2.05v setting and 4-4-4-12....have gone down to 4-4-3-8, but makes little difference.

All settings at auto except vcore, vddr and manual setting of DDR timings.
C1E and speedstep disabled.

Awaiting X1950XTX :D and may watercool the whole lot soon !!

Nice clock :) The P5B dlx does seem a nice board for FSB

Try this to see what score you get compared with others of the same clock speed as I heard the P5B relaxes the chipset timings to achieve the high FSB. I would be interested as I am looking for a new board to try.

Are you getting much more Mhz for the 6600 over the 6400 ?

The ABIT is in stock Devious.

Getting one?

The Jury isnt out yet for me, i can get 450 FSB on my Asus DH but it has a faulty pci-e slot, theres also the Asus P5WG2 ans P5W64.

Im surprised with the lack of good results with the asus pair so hmmm... :p

SM2, i get 2082 at 9 x 400 :) on old XP install.
I ran the 6400 at 3.5 Ghz, although i could get more at higher vcore out of it.

New Bios looks good :

Need to WC the NB and overall temps should also come down a little hopefully, once my alphacool DDC plexi-top arrives :)

The 1402 was worse...very unstable. 1403 was a little better but not by much, I could get dual sp32mb to run without errors but Orthos would fall flat on its face straight away. 1405 seems to be better (exact same settings used) for me at least. Orthos still priming away :)
