Arrgh! Typical - no news on UK release then within a mere few hours of me ordering the LG the Dell is showing up for the UK.
Just checked my order and it's been shipped. Ah well, not a huge difference with the discount. Will have to see how it checks out when it arrives tomorrow.

Cool, up for £886 which isn't actually a bad price compared to the LG and Samsung models. Should really wait for the reviews but so tempted to order one....!

I've noticed that with Dell. You'd think the online website price would be their best but if you phone up and banter with the Indians on the phone they'll generally discount!
Having said that Dell's website price is rarely competitive so it's not really surprising that they're able to offer their sales folk the option to negotiate on price.

Agreed on calling up Dell, the last 3 monitors I bought from them a couple of weeks ago were at a discount of 35% on the website price, I didn't have to push hard I just asked via online chat if I could get a better price.
The Indian chap who called me to confirm the order said they were selling them to me at 3% margin which gives you an idea of the normal margins they have to play with.
