US are getting invites first, Europe will get invites a little later.. but no specific date given for EU yet. Shouldn't be long and hopfully some EU stores will be given out Beta's as there appears to be various promo's going on in the coming days.

Doubt the beta will last long mind as its limited content and they are just stress testing the servers, reckon Blizzcon in October will be when they announce a release date. Which I reckon will be November 30th as that would be the 15th anniversary of Diablo 1

tried to sign up for beta but it said i had to own one of their crappy games like WoW, die.
This game just needs to hurry upI'm going to play either GW2 or D3 depending on which comes first
Right now I would put cash money on D3 hitting before the end of this year, GW2 I would be surprised to see before May next year frankly.
I intend to play them both so I may just resign from society now to be sure.

I'd put money on a release date of 30th November 2011, its the 15th anniversary of Diablo 1 so it makes sense.
beta only contains 1/3 of ACT I, nothing to spoil really, it's not a full game beta.
