Three hours, jebus...

I cant remember how long it took me to get out to Colonia, back then I played in open and got jumped on as soon as I dropped out, managed to get out with very little hull left, got killed a few days later and hit the wrong rebuy option and, well lets say its a lot easier to get back to the bubble than it is to get out to Colonia :D
 
So just took a look at the passenger board at Daedalus in Sol... was inclined to break out the Beluga. A single jump to Mildeptu 14.9ly and 116kls in super cruise later I'm docked at Buchli City and 38,488,477 credits better off, my Cabins weren't even full :eek: oh wait, I forgot I need to top off the fuel tanks, 132 credits lmao... :D
 
I'm off to Sol, I was doing delivery runs near maia for 1-2 million for circa 20ly jumps but don't seem to exist now.
Jumped to place mentioned earlier to do some planetary scans but only one being offered for my level was 120,000 :(

Quince? Fdev issued a patch yesterday that apparently killed it and should also prevent the situation from arising again.

Ta for that, watched the vid and thought it was okay apart from killing yourself to speed it up. Looks like it'll be all abroad the good ship cookie!! :D
 
Really tempted to get this game. Is it worth it these days or is there a better game in the genre out now?

I just want to do the whole space thing doing missions for people and some combat. Seems like you can get the full package for £40 on Steam at the moment. I'm just wondering if there is anything newer that might be a better fit for me?
 
I still don't get how everyone is making couple of hundred million transporting passengers when the distances are so long! What am I missing?

It would seem at the moment, transport missions are paying well over the oddd.

If you are well rep'ed with the faction you are at the staion with you will get better paid missions. the missions I am doing is transport missions. These are no more than 20 LY jumps. I am currently on my way to Buchli city, 14 LY jump from Sol for 25 million. takes 10 mins and this is the last of 5 stacked missions I have done in the last hour for 80 od million. No idea how you get 200 an hour though

Cheers Strudders. Can I ask are you stacking missions? How do guys go about planning passenger ferry trips? Can you stop off at various destinations and map out a route to maximise the return on investment of the journey?
 
I'm in rhea now and there tends to be multiple missions to the same destination so it's a one stop shop in most cases. Working my way up to allied as quickly as I can before it gets nerfed
 
Not bothered with Rhea yet, still doing the Wu Guaniaslkjalsj thing to get my Cutter, 19% off...

One person on my friends list has been doing Rhea for the past 3 days solid & must have about 10 billion by now. He'll probably enjoy his Corvette for about a week then never play ED again.

Not as much as people seem to think. Still 2 million + missions available. Which is still not to be sniffed at for 15 mins work (80kls +). So if you have the Rep and a ship and some Business class cabins, you can still make a fair old wage for the day.

I hopped out of the gravy train yesterday as to be honest I have no idea what to do with the money I now have. It has taken me 770 hours to finally make a billion and the last 200 was by the passenger mission gravy train. I am now off to see where stuff takes me and might go and get my ranks up.

On another note.

Just hopped on to Dangerous Discussions to see what was occurring. Still see it is as toxic as ever. :rolleyes:
 
Yeah I saw the patch notes this afternoon. Gutted! I was nearly allied too.

Ah well. I'm still grinding away at my fed rank so I can get that corvette. Just got out of warrant officer so it's a long road ahead.
 
Well my Anny is sat in dock full of cabins from the last "bug" where you were taking off some somewhere, flying to a POI in the same system then going back to the station again, no doubt there will be others...
