I think that's a known issue, there's something along those lines on the Inara Engineer pages if I remember correctly.

i was in a war, went to a High Conflict Zone
and im sure i heard something over the radio saying something like "spy ship" or something, " they are going after our capital ship"
anyway, i was just fighting a "spec ops wing" or something, it was a Vulture ship, and boy did it kill me with still good hull and most of my shield rings still intact ?
no idea what that ship was but his lasers were blue ? im guessing plasma ? and something odd about the ship too, maybe some sort of utility mounts? i dunno

im finding more and more how unstable this game is getting, keeps freezing on me more and more i play it now

Turns out Odyssey for less than a tenner has pushed me to giving CDKeys a go, given its dodgy reputation in some quarters. Had to phaff about linking Steam account to Frontier to get it to show up on the launcher, but got there in the end. £10 is the most I would ever have paid for it.

Mmmmm switching between Odyssey or Horizons, my GPU is now nailed to 100% and 8Gb Vram..... not what I was expecting TBH.
Also, you can't rename the Bindings file to work in Odyssey which is more than annoying.
Should say I am in a station for both.

indeed the control scheme has changed for ED:O compared to ED:H.
I'm finding the new interface annoyingly different in Odyssey ! I bought it I've not played on feet since the training mission. Bought two new ships and now doing a robigo mines run to pay for them, Mamba and a FDL. The FDL I've stayed away from due to the meta swing and liked the chieftain for the drag.

yeah the new UI is a mixed bag for sure. more clicks to do the same stuff is never a good thing but it looks a little less clutter. not being able to sort properly in the equipment storage and missing things. like that is criminal however
I managed to get my horizon bindings added to the new Odyssey file by copy/pasting the relevant bits. So that was not an issue in the end, what is an issue is the 100% GPU. Whilst temps were not an bad, the noise is LOL.
However, I skipped the tutorial as the controls were just not doing it for me. I will pick it up again later I am sure.
