I just checked, and you can choose to sell or store the existing module when you buy a new one for that slot. The default is to store it, which is as it should be - you don't want to accidentally sell an engineered module.

Pretty sure that's the same behaviour as the old version, even if the UI interface has changed.
 
Thought I'd fight some goids and make some money this evening, took on some missions paying out 50mil credits, ended up dying a bunch of times, and my net wealth went from 66mil, to 12mil FML

8 mil rebuy on my krait MK2 each time :(

Thinking it might be better to get a cheap little eagle or something and get ax weapons and try my luck instead?

well, before update, it would always sell the parts for me, ill have to check it again then

i have spent last 2 days (maybe 3) on this game, and i feel I'm getting somewhere now

i have 2 ships that I've nearly fully engineered !
a Type 9 with around 750T of space, with shields and armor that can withstand attacks (need to test this)

and a Asp Explorer kitted out for Range, speed, maneuverability and planet exploration as its fitted with 2 SRVs
Range is around 49.2 so i am able to speed through the galaxy in no time , thrust away from enemies upto 600 mph (or what ever its called)
and a laser, missiles, and point defenses to take down drones from planets when i need to and with 64T of cargo space I can carry stuff back to !


just need to unlock a couple of more engineers, finish off engineering those two ships

then i can finish off my Python (multi use) and my Fer De Lance (combat)


then i can then head off to Colonia and back
or
work on my ranks and gain access to corvette and cutter
or
Buy another ship and outfit it for Xenos
or
Guardian Tech


Still a lot to do !

if you need to make a quick buck do some eco biology (scanning living stuff on planets). FD boosted pay and in classic FD style I think accidentally went to far. I expect it will be dialed back fairly quickly but for now it's very profitable. personally I don't like the fact I went from zero to the rank before elite in 6 hrs of game time however

never knew this !

is it on Inara or somewhere so i know which planets to goto ?


what is FD?

oh and it's Odyssey not horizons, sorry if you do not have the DLC. I thought you did for some reason

no idea what just happened

vising one engineer, just beyond / at witch head nebula

decided to goto barnards loops direction


jumping from engineers planet, i went through a "conduit" complete malfunction, but i survived !


I got a Thaigod wake on my screen, that must have been it ! lol

it is when a thargoid pulls you out of hyperspace. given they are now at war with us I am surprised you survived. are you playing on the legacy horizons or on the 4.0 version ?
