Setup
I'm suprised that all fits and im therefore assuming the markI generator is an RCU?

In my opinion you would be far better off with hardeners resisting against the NPC damage, that would mean you could perhaps drop down to 1 repairer. a 1600mm plate would not be my ideal tank. Most npc setups try to tank the amount of damage given and not build up a big buffer. Unlike shield extenders which increase your passive recharge rate, the plate is just going to slow your ship down more, hog powergrid.. not my ideal setup.

If you want to keep range Id suggest an AB too at least or you will find that there are going to be a lot of ships all around you.

If you like the challenge and want to use the brutix then either go down the blaster route adapting some of the setups above listed for pvp, or go with:

6x200mm, 1 noz
ab, web, 2 cr II,
rep, 3 hardeners + damage control/cap relay/energized nano membrane

Tbh though i'd say get a dominix. For pvp its stupid to rush into Battleships, but for level3 missions its stupidly easier, a well setup domi will tank all the damage in a L3, however many groups you aggro. You can fly around with some tractor beams and an AB looting whilst your drones do all the work for you.

Just got Heavy Missiles 5 and now getting Heavy Missiles specialization. My Ferox is gona WTFBBQPWN anything MWWWHHHAAAAAA.

Was thinking 5 Heavy Launchers II, 2 Med *** and high damage Scourage (sp). Any ideas?

edit - This is a PVP set up by the way.

I was joking but fit more of an armour tank, proably passive and loads of ECM, be in damps, jammers, turrets disrupters, if your feeling luckly the dice will always roll in your favor ;)

to be honest, joking or not, Muffin's setup is based on a pretty good idea. If you are flying in a gang then a strong tank is just going to mean you die slower, it still wont keep you alive if you come under concentrated fire.

In terms of being more useful then painters/damps and jammers often change the side of the battle in your favour.

Depends on size of gang - on both sides.

If in small hit and run gang, fit a couple of shield extenders. We've been successfull in small scale raids (no more than 6 pilots) because the Ferox in the group has had a shedload of shield and soaked up all the damage whilst we killed quite a number of their pilots before they changed targets.

I read some of the reviews to this game and have decided to join, however i can't decide how much it costs. Iknow theres the free trial but, i've had a look on the Eve site and it appear to cost £91 ($131) per year, this this correct??????

Or am i looking st the completely wrong thing.

It might sound a lot when you say that, but consider that its cheaper than buying a new release FPS each month, and for your money you get an expansive game where new content and patches are a free download.
