I run lvl 3 agent missions, and kill lots and lots of NPC cruisers :p but you can do whatever you like, if you love mining and group mining, then all the power to ya, youll make a bundle of isk for sitting there chatting with friends that you can spend later on on a better mining ship or a combat ship or whatever floats your boat.
 
I am thinking about joining the OcUK corp.

However i am only 12 days into the game and dunno how much help i can be!

I have started a subscription (however i am AFK for 6 weeks in hospital from next thursday).

ATM im star gazing from a catalyst, still doing agent 1 kill missions (delivery ones got so boring and mining).

Aint popped me cherry yet in <0.5 and am also unsure of what would be expected of me in a player corp!

have 3mill in bank atm and hangers full of tons of newbie items and ships.

I may pop over to there site later and check it out deeper to see if it is for me!

Week days i prefer to solo but on weekends i would like to group up and have some ganking fun!

I have headphones and mic, however i do not like to speak as i have a speach impediment (which is why i can never usually join clans/guilds).

I love this game though and i have always liked OcUk so it seems like the logical step to join its player corp seeing as it is also the logical step in EVE to join a player corp. May aswell be one i know and respect.
 
The Freighter we killed was Stain Alliance and he was in Stain territory. Unfortunatly for him, so were we. There was an escort of a couple of frigs but they didn't come close to any of us. They just watched him die.

We killed a Megathron tonight and he dropped:
Coprum Enegrized Adaptive Nano Membrane
True Sansha Large Armour Repairer
Shadow Serpentis Armour Kinetic Hardner
True Sansha Medium Armour Repairer
2x named blasters
True Sansha Warp Disruptor

2 Days ago we killed a CLS guy who dropped a Gisti C-Type XL Shield Booster.

Add that to the 3 billion worth of loot we have already from the past month and we are doing pretty well :D

Hello, you would be welcome to come and join OcUK, we tend to specalise in introducing new members to significant parts of the game, we have made some good contacts with aliance corporations who often take our members on after a couple of months if they feel they are ready.

As for not being much help, Dymetrie and the other directors consider the corporation a support system rather than just a corporation, so it is more of a question can we help you rather than the other way round.

We do have teamspeak and you are welcome to use it, you are not required to speak however we would encorage you to join in in that part of the game if you felt able.

p.s. Corporation has been having a spot of trouble recently, all seems to be sorted now but your application will not be processed untill tomorrow after downtime.
 
I reckon my main aim atm will be to get better at mining, and faster, and then eventually when Ive built up my ISK I can move onto battleships and prepare for any wars I might get involved in :D
 
yea but bigger guns can't hit anything
better off using med/smaller guns with T2 ships (Assault frigs/Heavy Assault) because they;
a) have a built in resist bonus = harder to kill!
b) have a built in damage/rof bonus = do more damage!
using a wolf atm, nice ship, does about 100-150 damage per shot from 250mm T2 artillery. thats Vs frigs, VS bigger things its easyer to get more hits.

ALSO your sitting there in your raven, apoc, whatever,

try and hit me with your 1400mm Artillery, or cruise misile, or Tachion lazers.
you won't and even if you HIT the damage will be little or nothing.

trust me, I've tested this with a m8 in a raven and me in my wolf.

he had all the relevent missile skills at lvl 4 or 5 depending.

If someone uses a kintetic cruise on your wolf, with a target painter, they will get 400ish damage. More if they web you aswell.

Been there, done that, lost the ship.
 
yea but in a fleet battle (like this guy is talking about) when you have that meny ships its better for the battleships to try and take out the other sides battleships.
or atleast thats what you get most of the time.
I've not done fleet in a few months now, but do webs still have a 10km max range?

Wrong. If the Wolf has no MWD the missle will hit for around 10 dmg depending on skills

If the wolf has no mwd and is target painted and webbed the missle will hit for maybe 12 dmg.

If the wold has his mwd on, but is not moving or is webbed or is turning and moving really slow THEN and only then will the missle do a lot more dmg.
