***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

I was playing a bit this afternoon and did an endurance race (how to kill an hour eh?) and wondered if I really was using the best car. It was a Class S race and I was using an upgraded Ferrari California. The PI was bang on 700 but the Saleen was very close in second place throughout the race.

So what do you guys use for your best Class B, Class A and Class S races?
 
If it's just the fastest lap times your after, just check the hot lap times to see what the car of choice is per track. I got bored with them and use fun cars now...

Class B - Lancer Evo 6, Ferrari F355, Subaru WRX 05...I don't like using leaderboard cars but sometimes you're forced to just to compete :(

Class A - F430! (love it), Evo 6 again, Gallardo, S4 '10 for some of the faster circuits like Road America etc

Class S - Diablo GTR, Lotus Evora T124 (awesome car) Murcielago SV, Maserati MC12 and the Lambo Reventon.

My car choice depends on the circuit though, 4WD cars seem to have a big advantage on this game which annoys me :mad:

Depends on the type of track although I find the Saleen can be a chore at times also.

Class B: Lotus Evora or Subaru Imprezza '05
Class A: Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997) or Alfa Romeo 8c
Class S: Pagani Zonda C12 for handling and a Porsche 911 GT2 (993) or Diablo GTR

I have a few other cars which I use from time to time but they are my main weapons of choice.

Mostly because the majority of chumps fail so badly that they go off the track at every corner so having AWD just means it doesnt affect them and they carry on. It does suck and its been the way since day 1, but everytime I go on the A-class RWD only hopper theres about 3 people on there, just gotta keep fighting the good fight against the S5/A4's et al. :)

Yep. There will be a spread of AI cards across the class but there's always something close to the limit. You pretty much need a car within 20 PI of the fastest AI car, specially if it's that ramming git Rossi.

Some upgrades are pretty much pointless prime example being the flywheel, so ignore those. Best to use weight saving rims and driveline upgrades to get the final few PI points.
 
Yup all my cars are 500/600/700, I get annoyed if it's 499,599 etc :p

I've also got the point were I see Audi S5's in real life and I instanty shout out calling them a leaderboard ******* haha :p I play this game too much :/

i like the exige until i turned everything off and **** me way too much oversteer and never used it again :D

anyway its all about touring (R2) racing :D


edit: someone should organize an OcUK race =)

Been out of Forza for a long while, just spotted the posts saying various recomended cars for different classes. Has the Dodge Viper been changed? That thing used to dominate everything for class S, was no fun whatsoever :(

Probably still runs riot online but I don't play public so I cant say for certain. The cars I listed were for career mode.
 
I am dangerously close to buying an Xbox 360 slim for Fonza 3, can someone confirm if it has the same retarded acceleration penalizing system as in GTP please?

Nope it doesn't have that, instead you just fly off the track :p I bought the Forza 3/360 Super Elite pack upon release and don't regret it one bit! :) just go for it!

Thats like an angel whispering in my ear :cool:. It all fall on the release of GT5 having the penalizing system, as I don't really want two consoles if I can help it, but that answered my question thank you.
