***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

Mitsubishi HKS Evo on Fujimi Kaido Reverse plus rewind and occasional handbrake. You can pretty much stay in 2nd all the way iirc.

I read that FAQ too ;)

Drift lap is a pain in the arse. I'd never attempt it again.

And just to make us all feel truly inadequate...

Ive just bought this game again... and dont have my saves anymore so was wonderingggggg.. would someone gift me some cars or something? o:)

gt: solid warri0r

Only just seen this. I'll gift you some. Any preference? What sort of class? What do you like? Any particular makes? Drivetrain configuration? I've got all sorts.

MagicBoy did give the initial tip for the HKS Evo iirc, but you're right, I did read that guide too which in my own experience proved to be correct.

This is awful quality, but worth seeing.

Only had my XBox 360 Slim (with Kinect) for a week. I wanted a non kinect game to play so I went got this. . .

I know there is a new Forza 4 coming out next year. My question is will version 4 have less jaggies in it (a better gfx engine)? As I do find it lets the game down time to time, although game play is pretty good.

pretty sure it'll be the same engine, may look slightly better but not by much .

the e3 demo, just looked like a dumbed down f3 for kinnect, rather than a full blown sequel

That video was just utterly foolish.
I'd rather have a controller (pad or wheel) or have the series be killed off forever.

Steering like that just doesn't work. There's no feedback, no central point for "the wheel" to return to. I can't even begin to imagine how much the controls would need to be dumbed down for kinect.
The walk round the car thing... What? :| Why? Is there a need for this?

Motion controls, they aren't the future.

I very much doubt they would cripple it by making it Kinect only, especially not when they have the opportunity to comprehensively leapfrog GT5.

Only use I see for kinect in Forza is turning your head in cockpit view, which is something I really want as I mainly drift, so staring forward isn't particularly helpful

But by wasting time with the kinect rubbish in the first place they will (as can only be expected) fall behind in other areas.
The controls must have to be made idiot proof for a retarded flaily arms system to work.
How was that car accelerating/braking in that video actually?

It's not a game genre that suits this control method, imo.
As mentioned above, moving head to move camera is a good idea. Everything else is un-necessary.

by the looks of the video, it seems that you only control the steering. Acceleration and braking appeared to be ai controlled.

cant see (from whats been shown) how this can be anything other than a kinect only title.

with the apparent dissapointment surrounding GT5, this would be an ideal time for MS to push out an updated Forza but IMO this seems like a poorly thought out gimmick

I would bet my house that it will not be Kinect only.
