Notice sidewall bump map on the R8, and 3D underside detail on it too.

Out so soon also, Makes me very happy. I actually got a 360 simply because I was sick of waiting for GT5 to come out a few months back, Really was the only reason I bought a PS3. Forza 2 has been fantastic and just as enjoyable as the GT series for me, Just wish PD were not so tight-lipped about everything, I frequent many GT forums and there is just nothing new news-wise happening for months now

I gotta say I've noticed similar lack of AA for Forza 2 (360 hardware limited, they don't do software AA on the 360) and some blocky textures. It is a WIP though, so we may see some optimisation before release.

For me the visuals are not all that important. Interior view, better physics, better accessibility and dedicated drag and drift modes coupled with better car/tuning variety and more tracks is what Forza 2 needs.

There is also going to be a video editor, and a proper one at that they say which will be great. They love the community aspect the game has created and they have embraced it. +1 for XBL and T10 for sure.
 
Visuals are not as important as the actual handling, definitely, but it still needs to look pretty :D

I fired up PGR3 the other week after we got our new 42 inch TV... it has not aged well!

Things to note: Suspension arms and tyre deformation on the Ford GT, sparks when the cars touch, driver looking sideways during the dori dori action.

This was the only reason i couldn't get on with Forza 2 - hated both the XBOX controller and official wireless wheel. Just wanted the G25 or DFP to be supported and all would be fine.

Looks like they're teaming up with Fanatec, but are pushing the 360 wireless wheel for the livery competition (main page of site on left). The Fanatec wheels are a limited run by the looks of things (and expensive!).

I'm looking to get a G5 when I get my PC up in my office. I have nowhere to use one away from the PC though, the 360 is in a living space, and small one at that.

Ah, gutted - i'd be looking at going back to a projected set up with space for a wheel which would have been perfect.

It's a pity since i really like Forza 2 - i just never got on with the lack of fine, accurate and realistic control offered by the peripherals. :(

In contrast games like GT4, GT5 Prologue, GT Classics, GTR and even CM DiRT and GRID were infinitely better played with the Driving Force Pro.

My memories of this game almost equal the 360 launchday PGR events this forum had. I've never had such a laugh online with the ocuk tarts despite being rather mid-skilled.

In SP mode THIS was my main car. A monster pushing out about 600bhp+ after mods. I remember changing the drivetrain, lightening the car silly and then taking to the tracks - and spinning out at the first corner as I had forgotten to change the wheels to handle all that power :o

Forza2 was superb in every way, only the lack of tracks pretty much killed it.

Who remembers these? :p

How on earth did you make such good skins? Please tell me you scanned images in for the Alba, not making it out of primitive shapes! :eek:

I'm tempted to fire up the 360 for the first time in about a month to play a bit of Forza2.

My heroes car!!!! I spent ages on that lol, and my 24 jack bauer one, and a Kim possible one for a certain someone :p

And no PinkFloyd, all done by hand, from basic shapes such as circles/squares etc. Took me 20hrs to do my 24 one;

I loved Forza 2, the best racing game iv played!

How can they cram so much content in Forza 3 with it being in a new engine?
are they bringing content over from Forza 2 ? (cars, tracks etc)
