3 screens, 3 xbox with HDD, 3 copies of the game (presumably LE), Fanatec wheel, possibly some sort of cockpit/seat. Don't think I could do all that myself, at least in my current situation even though the game will probably get a lot of playtime.
My main reason for getting the monitors and the Turbo S wheel was for this game supporting the features they offer. I also want to use the setup for PS triple screens in GT5, thats if indeed it will support it.
3x X360 inc wireless headset £450
3x 24" Monitors £540
1x Turbo S £185
1x CS Pedals £190
1x Shifter Set £40
1x Network Hub in cables £10
3x LE Discs £130
Total £1545
Yes I had one of the consoles already I suppose but thats kinda the region you need to be spending from scratch.
Of course the cost so far doesnt include a race cockpit or seat.
Playseats or other are popular frames will weigh in around £300 and some much, much higher.
If anyones considering something like this then going the d.i.y cockpit route instead with a proper racing seat then allow £150 for basic models but with good models like my own COBRA "Sebring" are quite expensive costing around £430+ for the seat and supports on their own.
This will be a serious setup yes but Ive wanted such since FM1 and I really enjoy racing games. Besides ive been putting money towards this for almost a year.
Its very likely this will get many, many hours usage over the next 12-18 months at least and as I dont smoke or drink (very little) then it will work out at reasonable value for money.
Besides the triple screens look awesome, cant wait to play the game this way.
