Either I'm getting used to it, or the screen is slowly improving, but the blue-shift thing isn't really bothering me at all now.
It's even more sad that Google can't accurately calibrate the 'accurate' mode.Quite sad to see people preferring the profiles, Google actually tried to do the right thing and have a better calibrated display and people are still preferring the inaccurate saturated modes.
Gotta say, I'm the same. Maybe I got lucky but the blue shift on my unit is minimal, everything else is top quality. The camera constantly amazes me.Whatever its flaws, and it does have them, a few hours in and i can honestly say i ADORE this phone. I never truly gelled with my samsung phone even though it is a good little phone, but this thing has definitely won me over.
That's in the camera app, I've got it on mine running 8Just noticed on 8.1 there is now a face retouching mode when using the front camera.
Unless that's a result of an update to the Google camera app? But I can't recall one recently.

Oh and how long does it take this thing to install a system update. It's taken 15 minutes now and it's still only about 25% the way through Step 2 of 2 - on a 59.3 Mb update![]()
Did you notice upon reboot that it didn't take long at all? The phone essentially has two partitions to update with. When it is updating, it is actually updating the other one, which it then swaps to when you reboot!
Anyone come from a GS 8 to a pixel 2/2 xl?
If so, how you finding it?
I got a gs 8 being delivered soon but part me just can't help but think I should still get a pixel 2 or even xl 2 :/ Just those damn updates/stock android and the camera I really want.......
