Will the pre-orders start after the announcements tomorrow, or a few days later? I can't remember when they put them online previously....
 
ill be F5'n and selling my S7e within a heart beat if its below 700. I'd like the XL 64GB but im probably far too optimistic.
 
So last year they (XL) came out at £720 but with a "free" Daydream VR that were worth about £80 on fleabay.
What are the chances that as mentioned in the previous page that the XL 2 will be in the £750 region BUT with a free Google Home/Home mini??

I'm waiting with baited breath. If I'm not sold on it tomorrow I could well have a Note 8 by the end of the week.

Same idea really. The S7 was an insurance replacement so I didn't actually pick it myself. £700 would be the sweet spot but £750 with a case and/or other toy would not go amiss.
 
I guess my problem is if I decided the Pixel 2 XL wasn't my next phone, the alternative is probably the Note 8... which is £870... so I suppose the price will need to be high to put me off.
 
I wish they would throw in something useful like free 12 months music subscription with every pixel. That would save me £120 a year ;-) and I'd probably be more inclined to use the other services like movies and buy extra chromecasts
 
The HTC-made Pixel 2 will launch for $649 (£479) for the 64GB model and $749 (£553) for the 128GB model. The Pixel XL 2 meanwhile, will set you back $849 (£627) for the 64GB model and $949 (£700) for the 128GB configuration.

£850 would make it £50 more expensive than the iphone 8 plus

iphone 8 plus has the a11 bionic which destroys the snapdragon 835, wireless charging and dual cameras. The pixel xl2 (going on leaks) will have a higher res oled screen.

Spec for spec, the pixel SHOULD be much cheaper
 
On that note above, has there been any leaks as to whether the PXL will have wireless charging or not? I do hope it has....

Nobody has mentioned it, and it would be a huge omission on googles part not to have it (come on it's 2017). The rear has a glass top section, but the main body looks to be aluminium.....so it's anyones guess

Well find out tonight but the paper leaks don't make for good reading. No wireless charging, no headphone jack, no dual camera setup.....higher price

speculation, but leaks this close to a launch tend to be pretty accurate
 
That will be the one thing I would miss the most. I know its sounds very first world problems but I've got wireless chargers both at home and on my desk at work. I would miss it so much if it didn't have it, its so bloody convenient! Ain't nobody got time to plug in cables.... :o
