@nst68 no, the complete opposite as battery is lasting almost 2 days now.
I'm noticing no real change in my battery since the update. Typically I charge it at work in the morning until it hits 90-95% (I don't go to fully charged unless I know I am going to need the extra). When I get into work the following morning it's usually at around 40-50% depending on usage the previous evening.
Yeah, Google Play Services is hitting my battery hard .I disabled WiFi scanning as suggested on the XDA forum, but it made no difference.

I didn't notice any difference at first but in the last week my battery life has been amazing.
Yes and I did a factory reset and it was fine again for 2 days until I charged the phone. Then it went crap again.
It's back to being good again now after I did the following.
Disabled adaptive brightness. Brightness set to 80%
Disabled bluetooth and wifi scanning.
None of those things helped initially. I woke up and unplugged my phone and in the space of 2 hours it went down to 80% doing nothing, I was connected to my wifi and that was it. I went to a bbq at my mom and dads for the afternoon. No wifi whilst travelling there but then once there I connected to their wifi. I was taking pictures and videos and using my phone a fair bit.
Once I got home I noticed that my battery had not gone down that much and was at 75% after having used the phone all afternoon.
So god knows how or why but I now get 2 days from a single charge again.
I unplugged at 9am and have 84% left now with 1h 20m SOT

Google Play Services has been causing battery issues for what seems like years. Honestly ridiculous when Google make the damn phone and the OS.
Open settings and type "scan" in the search bar at the top.

Having a weird issue with some of my notifications recently too; they all just pop up at once, seemingly at random - especially with eBay but happening in a few more apps too
Yeah I have the same, and had it with oreo too. Last night at 2am I had an ebay notification telling me an item had shipped. But it actually shipped at 5.30 when I had the email. I think the ebay app is the problem.Cheers, I feel silly for not checking that first now!

I sometimes get it with whatsapp also. My OH will get a notification from our family group and then I wont get mine until I unlock the phone.

my wifi is terrible, dropping constantly! getting on my nerves. Never had this issue on 8.X

Does it drop from your home connection or all connections and are they 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz.
Mine did that at the start of installing Pie and I did a 'Forget' on every connection and reconnected and it fixed it. But I also did a factory reset a few days after so don't really know if it was the factory reset or the former.
all Wifi connections, 5Ghz at home 2.4 at work :/ literally disconnects and reconnects after a few seconds resulting in time-outs etc while browsing/loading something.
I had also set my dns to Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 but now it back on 8.8.8.8 (Googles) on my home connection. I don't know if that was an issue . Maybe try doing a 'Forget' and reconnect to see if it drops again.
I've had no WiFi issues at all since 9. In fact I've probably had fewer. For some reason on 8.1 when I left my house and came back (without turning the WiFi off and on) it would try to connect to my BT WiFi FON instead of my actual network. It works fine now.
