Click on live support they will tell you if its passed credit check, takes 2 mins.

i don't have one yet, but i think realistically, upgrading the memory card is a must.
 
not had any problems so far since installing the update yesterday thankfully(anyone know what the changes are?), I didn't do the backup to sd option while I initially setup the phone is that why I had that back up to sd error message when I went to install the update?

I can't remember how many apps I've installed so far(not got the phone to hand to check) but have got like 69mb left(think this is where the extra on board storage of the evo would be usefull, well at least till google start allowing apps to be save to sd).

I've also read the pink tint thread on xda-developers forums and noticed the pink tint on my phone.

will the cases made for the droid eris(usa verizon(I think) version of the desire) fit on the the desire? I've seen silicon 'skin' on ebay for ~£3, delivered from honk kong so takes like a week or so. the official screen protector isn't due out till the 21st which is a shame, just hope I don't damage the screen before I get it(well not ordered yet).
 
I've had mine for 24 hours and i'm likely going to return it after the bank holiday as it has not grown on me like the iPhone did.

The screen is not as responsive, the app store is poor in comparison, some of the items that are supposed to be available on the app store (Sims 3) aren't there. It is also not as intuitive as the iPhone.

The desire is superior in spec and O/S (i.e. multitasking), but the iPhone, IMO offers a better experience.
 
Did people not get 4Gb memory card as standard then?

i have an 8Gb on the way anyway as t-mob said they would upgrade me :)

The guy saying he had 47MB was talking about phone memory rather than SD card memory. At the moment, without gaining root access, you can't install apps to the memory card.

Agreed about the Market Place vs App store. The apps on the market place look extremely poor.

Some of the descriptions on some of the apps (the descriptions the developer write) actually openly admit to the app occasionally crashing.

I mean come on, can anyone load an application to the market place? They don't need authorizing like Apple?

I actually saw a fake Firefox application that just puts the Firefox icon on your phone that launches the base web browser. Yet people say that app store is full of useless apps?

The screen is more responsive than the iPhone though from my experience.
 
checked my data usage on the o2 website(I'm on the 12month 15/month simplicity for smart phones tarrif), I've used like 130mb since tuesday when I got the desire(~60mb yesterday) not inc today. have used 228mb or so total so far, only have today and tomorrow before the new month starts(billing date is 4th of each month).
 
Got mine delivered yesterday from mobile.co.uk all is well and loving the phone. Also got a free cat charger as the delivery was late due to stock issues.
