*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Returning my Desire since I've been having issues with the 3G connectivity.

Also, I still haven't been billed for my 2nd Desire yet lol :p - it's just sitting there in it's box untouched at the moment.

So, no one going to post pictures of their homescreens or any video of cool apps?

I've already seen all the footage on youtube, i need more! lol

I know! Come on, increase my impatience.

I would, if I had a camera or if there was a way of screen capping screens ;)

Is there anything worth rooting it for?>

Is there anyway to install apps to the SD card instead of Ram?

These go together ;)

Apparently, over at Phandroid, some guy has found a way to root it, but he still has a couple of kinks to iron out before he releases his full walkthrough :)

If you guys are on Facebook, join the HTC Desire page, some guy from HTC works there and is very helpful!

thinking of getting this phone, whats the difference between HTC Desire (graphite/bravo)? if there is any.. thanks.

Yep as above.

However, it still says Bravo on the back of the box next to the serial numbers and stuff but on the front and on every other document it's called the Desire.

I just replaced my Omnia yesterday with the Desire, went all over trying to find somewhere that had it in stock.

After trying Torquay and Exeter, i ended up in Plymouth who had 1 left! I snatched it so fast the shop assistant had a heart attack!

Amazing phone though, spent the best part of a day just messing around with apps.

holy crap mate... thats a 100+ mile round trip iirc - you deserved to find it for sure!

so, whats the best value 18 month contract on these atm? Definitely don't want 24 months.

Don't really care about texts or minutes as long as there's ~100 of each, but must have unlimited web.

Thinking t-mobiles £20 a month: £129 for phone, unlimited web, unlimited texts and 300 minutes on an 18 month, anything better?

That's what I got. Quidco tracked at £40 too.

Picked up my Desire yesterday on PAYG. Great phone, really enjoying the speed and browsing experience.

However, I'm finding the push email to be very slow. I seem to have to manually refresh my gmail to get messages to appear. Bit of a disappointment really in that department (esp compared to the Bold 9700 it replaced). I may have to keep the Bold 9700 for serious use.

Why not keep the Bold 9700 for the serious side of things and use the Desire as your fun device...its what im planning to do since ive sold my BB Storm2...looking at getting a Desire myself but am keeping the 9700 so i have the best of both worlds.
