Post 3 in that thread has a link to the original Sense theme in case you want that. You just flash the ROM then flash the zip with the original theme and you're done.

The thing here is, I was sitting outside on Sunday, bright sunlight, and no matter what brightness I used I would never describe my self as being able to see it "perfectly fine". Perhaps you have different sunlight over on the mainland.

Can't believe i've stuck with the same ROM for over a week!
Upgrading to NextSense 5.3 today. It's freaking awesome!
Just updated to OpenDesire 3.2
Seems very very good. Nice and quick with none of the 'guff' that in some of the other roms.
will keep it on for a few days to compare.
The slight pink issue in Gmail (checkboxes for example) and the HTC website (and other apps/sites using certain grey shades) has been 100% solved 
I followed the Universal claibration tool instructions here:

And on my desire had Blue and Green at max and dropped the Red to 970 and now there is no hint to pink whatsoever!
This has also improved the intensity of red which was quite intense to begin with.

Also, my contacts in OD are strange, I think I prefered sense.
My Contact Pic is missing, I want to link it to my facebook one, obviously I know it's me that wrote it, but it looks neater!

I have this problem as well. It will complete a couple of downloads, then everything after that gets downloaded but it doesn't install. A couple of restarts and it it will then do the same again.
Pretty sure its not a ROM issue as I have experienced it with OD, DeFrost and Pinky Desire.
I've cleared the market cache, done full wipes and tried another Google account but still get it. Bit annoying when you need/want to install some of apps quickly and when you've got 10 apps trying to update..

My blue and green were down at the low 900's with blue slightly lower than the green, and red high 900's no wonder I used to get pinking!!
All sorted now did the same as you max, max, 970 and no pink anywhere on lowest brightness. Makes me happier leaving it on that setting now

I'm glad downloading from the market was mentioned.
I thought it was my phone or the settings on my phone, I had real problems with the market over the last week or so, now everything seems to be working again.

I have Windows 7 x64 (no HTC drivers though) and the Android SDK. I entered recovery mode and cmd'd my way to the toosl folder, then did adb shell. but nothing really seems to have happened on the phone.
What am I missing?

That unfortunately is the downside with Android, 99% of the apps. lack any kind of polish.
Ask him to Multitask
or change his SMS alert tone, or add a widget to his homescreen.
