Question for guys using OpenDesire (3.0.3 if it makes any difference) - do you find that the camera quality isn't as good as it should be? I'm getting fairly grainy photos :/

haha I think I will.
Have Live wallpaper enabled, my nicest widgets on display too.

Only app I can think of is google googles which severely impressed me?

Me too, I don't find the camera app very good at all! Prefer stock.

Connect a Wii remote and play sonic 2.

As an aside, I am getting seriously impressive battery life out of DeFrost 2.9! Dropped 2% over 8 hours overnight and is doing very well today. Looking to get a clear 2 days (0700-0000 easily) out of moderate use (bit of web, syncing emails, 4-5 phone calls, 20 texts and a few hours of music).

Well I'm on OpenDesire again now and I'm sticking with it as the browser features Sense has are now in it too and then there's loads more features too :D

Are there any other reasons why or is it just a preference thing. I've only just Rooted mine and have Leedroid 1.8c installed with a few other mods for shts n' giggles. Is there an advantage to the stock Froyo ROMs?

I never really used the copy/paste features in the browser but text reflow and user agent changing (mobile view off) is in there along with many other features (if you about:debug before going into settings).

Then there's tweaking the autobrightness settings with your own chosen values and so on.

afaik, about:debug was already there in other, older roms, certainly used it in deFrost to change my user agent for certain sites.

I really want proper copy and paste a la Sense, the vanilla 2.2 way of doing it is complete crap.

Wireless Tethering fix and reverted back to stock keyboard as the 3.2.0 build had a new multitouch keyboard which was actually quite nice but people complained as it was different omg omg wtf bbq :p

The only real advantage is you can set the phone up how you like, if you don't like Sense you can go native Andriod etc. I haven't seen any performance improvement to be had from any of the ROMs I have used, in speed or battery life.

edit: There was an obvious advantage when we were all using leaked ROMs prior to the official release.

Finally got round to ordering one of these babies from Amazon, does it come with an SD card built in or do I need to order one? Also is there a noticeable difference between the Class 2 and Class 6 cards?

Once its setup I've gotta start figuring out all this OD/NS stuff. Is there a website that explains it all from scratch easily?

Ta :)

Just had a quick glance at the "Box contains" section on Amazon's HTC Desire page and no SD card is listed so I doubt you'll get one. If there is one included it'll be a cheap 512MB card or something like that.
