I have that installed but it doesn't seem to do anything, in my keyboard settings I have:

Select Language

Android Keyboard

HTC_IME_mod

User dictionary

Any settings I change in the IME_mod don't seem to have any effect on the keyboard, do you have to tell Android what keyboard to use somewhere?
 
Got Defrost running on my phone with the HTC_IME_MOD for the keyboard and have to say that I'm loving it, took a little bit of setting up but glad that I switched to it.

anyone help with this...

I have been using defrost rom, updated today to version 3.4.

The phone will not boot and i cant get into "install from SD card".

I can only get into the basic recovery menu, Yet I have clockworld mod installed.

I have been in the clockwork mod recovery screen before now.

How can I get files onto the SD card connected to my laptop, bearing in mind the phone wont boot up to use ROM manager.

HELP PLEASE..

Don't use ROM manager, sounds like your update.zip is duff/missing hence why you can't access it.

Flash AmonRA R5 recovery using unrEVOked 3.1 and you will never have to use rom manager again or deal with an update,zip. Plus it's a far better recovery.


You can then put the ROM back on via recovery or wipe data/factory reset from recovery and retry.

I have started running unrevoked, does it take like 15 mins or more to reflash ?

I think it isnt flashing, just stuck in a loop, ideas Khaaan ?

I'll run revoked again m8.

Stuck in a loop, wont flash clockworkmod recovery.

Anything else I can try Khaaan ?

progress being made, using the fake-flash AMona, I managed to enable the expanded menu.

using the MS usb option to copy over a new rom to SD, hopefully it will now boot with defrost 3.4.

Well last saturday evening I got the error that some roms seem to be having with app2d saying the sd card was mounted read only, tried all sorts of things to fix it but as I was going on hol 6am the next morning the best thing i could think was reflash, but as the card was read only couldnt copy image accross and doh my card reader was bust (fogetting i had a microsd one in my drawer) any way in the end the phone wouldnt boot, just endless android boot screen until batt went flat, so needless to say I was without phone all week anyway got back and saw quite a bit of action on xda so have just insttalled AuraxTSense 7.4 so far so good

Anyone else had the SD mounted read only issue?
 
Just noticed that 3 have refurbs on offer for £25 a month: 5000 texts, 1GB internet, 5000 minutes 3-3 calls, and 500 minutes.

I'm thinking it looks like a good deal, any thoughts?

Also I'm currently on a contract with them, but it doesn't expire until April, what's the likelihood that I could persuade them to upgrade early or allow me to sign the contract now but it starts then?

Edit: It's 24 months.

I've a Desire with unrooted 2.2 on it. I read that to root you need to downgrade to 2.1 to get bootloaded 0.8x or something. now if i backup my sd card and downgrade (which wipes the phone and card) and then root and install a custom room,can i then restore my phone to all the apps and settings that i backed up? I take it thats the whole idea of a backup?

And if i restore the backup will it remember what apps and widgets i had on which screens and all? Don't know if i want a stock android rom or one with Sense like leedroid.
