Is there a way of getting the HTC Sense widgets working on Launcher Pro, I want the Laucher Pro dock with Sense widgets.

No, but you can buy the Plus version of Laucher Pro to get widgets for $2.99 which are very similar

I've not long received my Desire from O2 as an upgrade.

Should I bother debranding it etc, and putting 2.2 on, or just play it safe and wait?

Is it really easy to do?

If you're happy with that then it will take no more than an hour.

O2 had the 2.2 upgrade out at the beginning of the week and it got pulled. Who knows when it will be back. Given that they have already got this far it’s probably worth waiting a couple of weeks but then you might have to wait a long time for the 2.2 bug fix which has just come out so it’s up to you.

Thanks for the info. I notice it says it won't work for desire's with the slcd screen.
I think i'll wait for an official o2 release, so I don't risk knackering my phone.

How would I know what screen my desire has; I have just recieved it and it has no info about the phone.

It'll say amoled on the box if it has, if it's slcd it'll say nothing. I've got an slcd and think it's fine.

^Yep its SLCD. I just realised mine was SLCD the other day. No complaints though, the screen is top notch quality

Mind doesn't say AMOLED on the box, but I got it in April so I'm pretty sure it is (I've been treating it as such too with regards rooting etc).

It's a bit newer so I'm guessing it's going to have some bugfixes/improvements somewhere lol.

Popped on the flash 10.1 from market, and it has fixed, on my handset anyway, the bbc sport glitch (which annoyed the smeg out of me) i had on the stock web browser !

Hey everyone,

Today I shall be using a Goldcard to debrand my phone and then install [ROM] Official HTC FROYO Android 2.2 FILE for Manual Update via HTC SYNC (OTA file)

So I don't have to wait for Virgin to release theirs.

What I have is:

The phone
usb cable
a spare 4gb micro sd card
and my actual 16gb sd card

Should I back up my phone using titanium backup or will there be no need?
Because I want all my settings back on the phone.

Any other precautions I should take?

Has anyone unrooted their Desire and restored it to stock? Mine is being replaced tomorrow by Orange (dust under the screen), and I'd like to get it back to factory stock.

Defrost on the phone says there is a 4.1 update yet the forums show nothing. I'm holding up doing anything till I see it on the site!
