*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

On Supervillain HD I unplugged at 6:30am, today I've listened to about an hour's worth of music, played games for about an hour, done a full titanium backup, nandroid back up'd and downloaded quite a few apps, push email on too. Battery at the moment is at 40%. I've got the undervolted 1113Mhz kernal by Rich Trip.

Wow....then I wasted cash on SetCPU a little while back after it was raved on in this thread.... :(

Not the first app I have regretted buying I might add.....

Word of the day is S-OFF ;)

It allows write access to the /system/ partition while Android is running so you can install/uninstall apps without having to boot into recovery or use ADB.

It also diables signature verification so you don't need to make sure every flashfile is signed.

It is proper root like how the G1 and Magic were pre-Android 2.0 :)

getting rid of the super bright white htc splash screen was a good enough reason for me when i did it, lol :D

you can also resize system partitions now.

Having some strange problems with my Desire lately.
It sometimes seems to turn off mobile data for no reason at all.
And airplane mode on/off seems to fix it though.

Anyone had this before?

I bought a car kit off eBay the other day, basically just an in car holder and cigarette lighter charger, however with the phone switched on and using sat nav the phone uses power faster than it can charge, so after a 2 hour drive I only had 25% battery left from a full charge, anyone else had this problem? The phone even flashed up a warning telling me to plug in an AC charger.

That's because the charger you got is low power one that gives out as much power as a USB port so is see as a USB charger. You need to buy another charger, one that gives more power and is seen as an AC charger by the phone.

Why not use my DIY Mount creation guide to create a dash mount and car cradle far better than most of the stuff available to buy? Costs less too.
