It does undergo continuous development especially when the ROM is tailored to it, how long ago did you use it?
 
I'm getting good battery here too on SVS, 17hrs @ 57% remaining after 20mins of video playback in Rockplayer (software mode) and some Angry Birds and Youtube and surfing!

I briefly flashed MIUI last night and was quite impressed. What are your thought's on it? Back on DeFrost now but thinking about giving it a trial run for a few days.
 
What are the odds that if I get a replacement phone it's going to be SLCD?? Are they all of this type now or are there still AMOLED screened Desires being shipped?

yeah did an insurance claim last month, and got a slcd, they let me keep my old one, so just carried on using that and sold on ebay, it was only dings to the case, but hey i have insurance
 
rubbish!! I'm guessing the blacks aren't nearly as good on the SLCD :( if it is a replacement at least It'll have a new screen without the two tiny scratches I have managed to put on it. I'm guessing it will need a new board/chip due to the overheating issue. Guess I'll just have to wait and see, got a text today saying it's arrived at the repair centre.
 
It's not bad but it's only apparent sat next to an AMOLED Desire :p

Colours are slightly off on the SLCD compared to the vibrancy of the AMOLED although in practice it's nothing to be all FFUUUUUUUUU about!

The main benefit though is LED = No backlight bleed and blacks = pitch black so great for night clock apps and so on.

Would definitely miss the night clock with super black. Meh, as long as the phone works and doesn't reset all the time it's an improvement hehe.
 
Well the reason for going SLCD was because of shortages, I'd imagine by the time the shortage has ended they will want to release LED ones again but by that time the new phones will be out!
 
Does anyone know if i can password protect the sms app? For example if click on it, it will ask me for a password before it opens it?

Also skippi90 how much you looking for the desire?

So when AMOLED is available in enough capacity for HTC to return to it we'll be on the next set of phones? So no point in hanging around for AMOLED to return? :p

i doubt it, they wont return to it now, it will be like admitting its better, when they have claimed its just as good.

another note, any more rumours about us getting the new version of sense and its befits ?
