*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Well still had no reply from MPD about the pre-order I had cancelled a week ago, and have since received the phone (not opened the package).

Sent them a long email this morning clearly stating that failure to reply within 48 hours will result in me contacting Consumer Direct for advice as they are quiet frankly taking the ****.

Should I be charged by T-Mobile for the contract I will make sure they get the snot kicked out of em by Trading Standands and I get compensation for the total **** up they have created.

I got mine on the 24 month Dolphin 500 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited (500Mb internet) deal, does anyone have any experience of this tariff and going over the 500Mb? Not that I suspect I will but it will be handy to know if I will get slapped with a big bill if I go over 500Mb or if I will get a latter about exceeding allowance.

I'm on the 500mb on my Hero and never gone over it, usually get to around 300mb a month. As long as you're only receiving push email, doing some app downloads and basic web browsing it's hard to go over.

Of course if you start downloading big files or streaming music it may be different.

ah right - sorry i was being dim and assumed that was the way to download other apps etc. so how do i get to the android market place to download new ones? :)

No worries :)

What I do is open the market and just search for 'widget' and have a gander at what comes up there ;)... might.be another way but not sure.

Most of my usage will be wi-fi browsing at home TBH. The only thing I really use on my Desire is the Friend Stream and getting my Yahoo e-mail on my phone and maybe some forum usage and BBC viewing whilst out and about.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question. I went up to the Gadget Show yesturday and was able to have a play with botht he Desire and the Xperia X10 side by side and I am still undecided lol!!

Now I love the way the Desire can copy text, the little tags you can move around is far better than the old way of selecting text to copy. I am just wondering is this a Android 2.1 thing or is it a HTC Sense thing as I would love it if its a Android 2.1 thing as the Xperia will eventually get it as I really don't like the way the Xperia selects text.

Hmmm my Weather app on the main home screen seems to have broken. It won't update at all, last update was at 4am this morning. Tried numerous times to update it today but nothing, is anyone else having this problem? Wonder if the server that it uses is down.

Jesus, i cancelled from MPD and apparently they did another credit check that came up as no as i had re ordered with t-mobile direct. This caused my t-mobile direct contract to get flagged and now ive missed this weeks stock. Idiots.

You have to go into the weather program itself and click update.
Done this numerous times myself when changing locations and getting stuck with the old location :s

I haven't changed location though, I'm still in S-o-A.

Hmm I just turned on 3G access and it's updated. Oh and I've never had to auto update the weather before, even when I went to Leamington at the weekend, it did it automatically.
