*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Well ordered from Tmobile, the Orange things I mentioned above were thru retentions and they would allow the phone on any lower tariffs.

Tmobile
300min
300txt
unl data (3 or 5Gb ceiling can't remember)
+Flex Booster
£15/m (£95 for the handset)

That wasn't even a retentions deal, so thats the missus happy and I can't wait for my upgrade in a coupla months

Great, email recieved from Mobiles.co.uk

After being told they had stock, its now out of stock!

The wait continues :(

CPW do a 28 day exchange for faulty handsets. After that it's repair.

is that only for people who buy the insurance or everyone?

my parents get mobile phone insurance through barclays premier account(2 phones as it's a joint account), as my dad bought cpw insurance for his iphone I've got my phone covered through that. I need to phone up and get the touch hd taken off and the desire put on, only thing being I still haven't told my mum I've bought the desire(she'll kill me :) ).

does the cpw insurance have any benefit over the bank account one? as the desire is payg under the cpw insurance I wouldn't be covered if I lost the phone, can't remember what the case is with the barclays cover.

There's a little lock switch on the card itself, haven't check in ages on mine but it just slides to lock etc like on a normal SD card.

I can't wait until this thread becomes about the phone instead of Tariffs lol.

Loving the phone btw. I just hope and pray they come out with something to increase the volume. Thankfully i have E3c's to cancel out the outside noise, but i could see this being a MAJOR issue with people.

btw - streaming last.fm on the way to work is brilliant. Probably one of my favourite things about the phone.

Hmm cannot seem to track down any rooting confirmations :|

Rooting is a big issue for me, without root I'm going to just look at the Nexus One instead!

Apparently it's been rooted over at Phandroid, but the guy is waiting to iron out some glitches before he posts a walkthrough or guide on it.

Probably the one that fixes the pinkish tint too, that they mentioned on facebook.

Just one question, did anyone else get a HTC VOID sticker in their box? It was floating about in it like it was up to me to stick it somewhere, but I seen no mention of it in the manual

I got one of these stickers too, it's meant to be stuck on the outside of the box, so that if it's opened, the seal will break. It's just so you can see if anyones tampered with it.

I'm loving the phone so far, it's so fast, and the screen is amazing. Coming from an N97, it's a big difference; no lag, nice animations, no memory problems :D. I'm kinda limited to stuff I can do at the moment cos my sim card STILL hasn't activated (~36 hours and counting). How are you guys finding your battery life?

How about a fiio e3/e5 headphone amp, I use it with my phone to drive my phones better and save battery life?

I wouldn't count on it, the htc upgrade didn't fix it on my phone. unless t-mobile have done something on their update that htc didn't do on their upgrade for unbranded handset, I doubt the pink tint issue will be fixed.

also as I mentioned some people who have contacted htc about the issue have been told that if they get the pink tint on the htc website etc(i.e. outside of the gmail app) the handset is faulty, and they they should return it for a replacement. well that's what I've read over on the xda forums, there's 2 threads on the issue that I saw.

I need to decide what I should do as I've got the issue on my phone, should i return it or keep it. I've got wavesecure which I downloaded during the free lifetime licence offer, not sure if I exchange the handset if I will have to pay for it if I want it or if it's transferable. need to read the faqs and t&c to find out, failing that email customer service.
