Well my weather app just don't want to work.

I can't get ebuddy to work because it just says invalid username or password when i add my facebook account, then when i log into facebook on my pc it says my account has been accessed from USA.

I tried to log into my lottery account to buy a ticket and it says i can't access it as i am in the USA.

Anyone know whats going on lol
 
Oh dear looks like theres a few too many bugs with this phone...not liking the soudns of things ie weather stopped working amongst other things ive heard...might have to cancel my order with Tmobile...one of the reasons why i moved away from my first foray into Android with the Magic....far too buggy for an OS imho.

I really don't get why websites think i am from the USA:confused:

Hopefully a software update will iron out these bugs pretty quick.

Everything else works like a dream, it's a tad annoying as the things i DO like to use a phone for all seem to be bugged :/

Its strange that it thinks your in the USA...have u checked the settings ie if there are date/location settings?...maybe your locale/location settings are off??.
 
Nothing to do with wifi being redirected through a VPN? I.e at work where a lot of companies internet is accessed via a foreign country...
 
Anyone know what class the sandisk 4gb micro sd card supplied with the phone is.

Also what the highest class the phone can make use of - is class 4 plenty?
 
Not had any probs with weather apps or anything... As for the USA login thing, I would suspect this to be a network issue. I can sign in and play the Lottery no probs here (T-Mobile)

Class 4 is plenty fast...i dont know which class the cards are that come with the phone...but i would imagine it would be at least class 2.

Hardware i dont think they do...well when i ordered last week i asked and they said no they dont other than the starting splash screen.

Still waiting for mine to come...should be here by tues.
 
Thanks to those people who confirmed it comes with Google Mail etc on Vodafone. Spoke to two different people at Vodafone who confirmed those apps are on it... "Why wouldn't they be?" one asked... try asking the same to Orange and the HTC Tattoo!!

Anyway HTC Desire on Vodafone will be with me on Tuesday :D

Think i've sorted both issues (Weather / Ebuddy) Just testing the USA thing now.

On wi-fi i get straight into lotto, on mobile network it thinks im in the USA but i can still log in fine. So looks like thats just a vodafone thing :)
 
Prob noob question but, Do i have to ring tmobile up to activate phone?
the info that came with it said just install sim and wait to be connected but its been 2 days now:confused: got phone from MPD.
