Try another sd card as it might be corrupted or faulty or worse could be the handset thats faulty...either way try another sd card and see if that solves anything.
You have to go to Setup in the main menu, then remove the Facebook sync thing. It was annoying me too, but by unsyncing it, all the Facebook contacts had gone.
dont i then loose all the details for the ones im linked with that i want? ie favourites etc?

yeah I think this is my only option really. I'll contact mpd and htc to see what they think, then take a trip to asda

A lot of people are coming out of their 3G contracts at the moment in time, so might be thinking of jumping ship.
Ive boxed mine up ready to send back to MPD as i want to go with vodaphone retentions deal instead.
I'm back on my Omnia now and can't imagine how i even used this shoddy excuse for a phone for 18months
I miss my Desire already.

Phones 4 U are doing the htc desire on orange for £25 a month 18 months, free phone. Unfortunately it is locked and branded but im sure you could get it unlocked for not too much.
They are offering 300mins, 3000 texts, 500mb internet and unlimited email per month.
Not sure if this is helpful to what you need or not but I thought i'd post anyway.

Hi, thanks yeah seen that one but the locked phone is something i'd like as a last resort if I am going through the hassle of changing my number (already on Orange so couldn't port it).
Still annoyed Orange offered me such a rubbish upgrade offer! Think i'll ring them again and see if they can do anything better.

I wouldn't mind a deal like that. Problem is O2 charge for calls to the Channel Islands & i really need a network that takes them out the inclusive minutes which seems to only be Orange or Virgin!
Does anyone have an answer to this please?

Not so sure on the Virgin coverage but if that's a free phone on a 18 month contract, then it's an average deal since the total cost would be £540
Lots of people on here were getting contracts worth around £450 - £480 and some lucky people near the £400 mark (maybe cheaper but I'm not sure).

Just port your orange number to o2 then request pac from o2 and place the phones4u order.
You get to keep your number that way, its a cheap deal, you are on orange like you needed and it shouldn't cost you much to get it unlocked?
I'm having the same thing with the facebook contacts in the phone menu, can't see a way to not have them.
I think I read that to have a custom photo album you need to create a new folder on your sd card?
