*** The Official HTC One M8 Thread ***

Anyone know a good way to unlock the phone from ee? so i can use it on other networks have tried about 3 different websites to unlock via code but no go all of them have no codes for htc one m8 :(

Any advice or link to a tutorial would be much appreciated.

My guess you had an app installed eating away. take care to what you install.

Oops I spoke too soon, the phone is eating through battery like anything and I haven't even it used it heavily at all.

The phone has been awake for a massive 6 hours so there's a rogue app that is keeping the phone awake.

Anyway I've asked for a replacement let's hope that the new phone isn't plagued with the same battery issue.

All the wakelock detector programs need root, is there another app I can use to identify what's keeping the phone from sleeping?

So I got one yesterday, mum wanted to try it for a day so I said sure, took her iPhone 5 for the day.

Come back home, she won't give me the M8 back :(

I knew it Mate. Unlucky....

You got mugged off by your own Mum. Think you'll need to devise a plan to get it back.

Think I've just about decided I want this phone, the camera is the only thing that's a sticking point. But gonna go have a play with one tomorrow and see it I can find a decent contract that doesn't cost the earth.

Nothing wrong with the camera. Don't let it put you off. Brilliant colours.

Those pics straight off the phone, if so they look very nice. Definitely going to have a look round do the shops tomorrow see who can do me the best deal, found a decent one on EE but the 2gb data limit puts me off.

Is there any chance an owner could post up a full res camera sample please?

My screen's res is 2560 x 1440 and and I like a few pixels spare to play with.

Managed to pick this up yesterday from Three on PAYG, keep this sim for a month then put my Vodafone sim in it. Loving the phone so far.
I'm just looking at some of your guys screenshots of GSAM Battery Monitor, which I've just installed. Everyone else's battery seems to be showing running at 3v, where as mine is showing at 4v. I've never used this app before, and the phone is currently at full charge, so I don't know if it's just saying 4v as it's currently at a full capacity?
