Fricking huge bezel, huge ass bezel at the bottom for Logo, different sized speaker grills is hideous, and whats up with the fugly gold colour. The wrap around looks ugly too, they basically took an amazing design of the M7, took a huge dump on it and didn't fix the 1 issue with it, which was the bezel size, but we got it in gold now YAY.

Just when I had some hope for the HTC One, I hope for their own sake this isn't how it actual looks.
 
I took out my HO out of the case to compare. The metal sides makes it look more bulkier... and the corners are more curved off. I was hoping for a more bezelless design due to the bigger screen but I guess not... That second camera placement bugs me as well... the top speaker grill is smaller than the bottom due to the front camera... and that wasted space for the HTC logo at the front... They could have made a more compact device really.

Yeah, they ruined the awesome design, chamfered edges replaced with something ugly, still has that stupid logo on the front, and lose of symmetry lead to a pretty awful design. Really hope this leak is wrong.

I really hope that is not what the final phone looks like because to me that's one very fugly phone!
if that's really it htc have gone backwards not forwards.

No doubt Samsung will bring out a new plastic SG what ever it is and will end up cornering the market, I can see this being the final nail in the htc coffin :(
 
I really hope these leaks are fake. What is the point of having them massive bezel if there a no longer capacitive buttons? Also its suppose to be same width as current HTC one but long longer :confused::eek: The HTC One is taller enough as it is.

Serious no want.
 
And it seems top mounted home button so that well be horrible. And it really doesn't look as a appealing with those metal bands around the side, takes a lot from the design. Logo on the front is stupid.

Now, they might be wrong/guessing but if the specs are true then it seems to be another spec bump job with a somewhat questionable design. I'm not sure we can expect much more given that HTC probably won't have access to newer technology than Samsung and Sony.

I'm not sure what to make of these apparent dual cameras on the back.

Everything about this phone is awesome, apart from that hideous black bar at the bottom.

And potentially the battery capacity, which HTC always fail at...

Sony Z2 is top of my 2014 list at the mo, but I really want this device to be good... for HTC's sake at least!
 
If that is the final design, they've improved a few small bits and made others worse, spoiling it completely. :(

Plus, isn't the top bit on the back a fingerprint sensor? I'd expect them to stick one on since they already have on the One Max.
 
only 30fps at 1080p is a bit disappointing, when everyone else is able to do that at 4k now and 60fps at 1080p. Looks like HTC isn't going to win on specs and there design has degraded somewhat if the leaks are true, which I still have hope are for the HTC One Mini.

HTC have the opportunity to launch a great new phone but the more I see the more I suspect it will just be an updated One, The One is a great phone but I'd like to see more from the next phone.

I'm with you Sumanji on the Sony Z2, the only thing putting me off is the glass back and front, I can't find any mention of Gorilla Glass in any of the specs and am just a bit worried about it scratching in next to no time.
