***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

For some reason I can't get any data network, even switching roms I'm not getting any data network it just randomly stopped working :s

Do you have Juice Defender installed? I kept having issues with it not restarting the data network, so I uninstalled it.

It came back itself after a couple of hours, guess maybe a transmitter fault? But in center of Mcr don't know how likely that is.

New leak is out, comes with Sense 3.6! Needs a new firmware to be flashed too. Usual guys have releases out already.

Be warned though, you can't use an older ROM with the new firmware, it will bootloop. So, new firmware and new Rom are ok, but if you want to go back, you'll have to flash the old firmware again.

I'm leaving this a few days, as I don't want to be flashing firmwares too often. The risk on bricking with a firmware flash is a real one.

Are any of the ICS roms useable on a daily basis, considering they are based on leaks?

Tried few different 3.0/3.5 roms a few months ago, ARHD, RCMix, etc... and found they'd crash at least once or twice a day.

Tried Bulletproof 1.4 & 2.2.1 and they were as the name says pretty much, although the dev seems to have stopped on it recently since he got a GSII.

I've been using Virtuous inquisition since release as a daily driver and its rock solid so far.
They've just released v3 final based on the latest RUU too which addresses a few minor bugs and smoothes things up no end!
The only issue really remaining is the AOSP lock screen not showing calls and having to be unlocked to answer, but I'm working on fixing that this afternoon amongst other things.

Made an absolute noob error yesterday, put the new firmware, SuperWipe and ROM on the SD card, then booted into the bootloader.

Picked up and flashed the firmware fine, then realised I had no way to delete the firmware off the SD card so it just kept bootlooping! Doh!

Left me without a phone for the afternoon and I missed an important call. Hope they ring back today.

Why didn't you take the SD card out, boot into recovery, insert SD card, then flash the rom?

EDIT: So you really made two noob boobs! lol

Forgot you could remove the SD card on the Sensation without removing the battery. I did look on XDA and nobody suggested that!

Suffice to say I'm now keeping a card reader in the office!

Forgive me if its already in this thread somewhere but i have just got my xe.
Which screen protectors are people using? After scouring amazon and ebay all reviews seem to suggest that none of them fit anything like they should

Well I've been using ICS for quite a while now, I'm on Virtuous Inquisitions 3.0 and it's ok, but have quite a few problems such as random restarts, apps don't seem to work, Youtube app does not work, won't play videos, need to use a browser for that, whatsapp keeps not responding, maybe it's incompatibilities of the apps but it does seem abit flaky.

Weird i've had none of that, very stable rom for me.

Try wiping data for the YouTube app and see what happens ;)
I'm also using Virtuous Inquisition, but I'm using the latest firmware and radio as opposed to the 3.12 recommended firmware, Cyanogen T9 dialler, latest 4.0.4 Google apps package from the Galaxy Nexus leak and my own modified MMS apk (I have the return key instead of Smileys ).
I'm also using my own WIP framework and resources with more Sense overlay stuff replaced, and so far its been rock stable. I did have some random reboots on the older firmware, but all is good now :)
