***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

Picked up one today from the Bay of E for £365 which is probably the cheapest I've seen on there. I already have a Desire HD which suits me fine but I figure it makes sense to jump ship now as I can't see many more software updates coming to the HD considering the whole Desire/Gingerbread debacle. Sure there's people power and that can chase companies minds but at the end of the day as the software improves your going to be limited by the hardware ultimately.

You're wrong there, they look more white on the LCD, definitely.

I have to agree to this when I went on google it looked more of a slight blue tint on the GS2, but then when I went on BBC Sport it had a pinky tint on the Sensation but was white on the GS2 which was strange.

When it comes to colours and blacks though the GS2 was much better as you would expect.

Depends on the LCD I think. The iPhone4 is super-white, but it's blacks can't touch SAMOLED+.

The blacks of the SAMOLED+ also result better contrast, which can create the perception of whiter whites.

GOT MINE! Whoop! No idea how to use it tho.

So, how are you getting on? Good Bad? Is it contract or sim-free.

I am currently mulling over where to order one from. Cheap but imported from Hong Kong or Expensive but from UK?

Does anyone think there will be any differences between Hong Kong Imports and UK stock?

Contract Vodaphone. 500minn + 500mb + unlimited txt £25 a month on 24 months
I really like it, but came from a 3gS and never had android before. I need to work out what apps I need to get.
Is there a way to do signal boost through your router like there is on my mums Nokia E7 (or whatever it is)

The way this thing reads the battery is very odd. It stays at 100% for ages (several hours), and then drops to about 90-94% in the space of an hour.

So the battery life appears a lot better than it actually is to begin with :p

I've had mine a month now, so general thoughts:

- The lower half of the back of the phone can get very warm when using some applications, but infrequently, so it isn't a particular app causing this.
- Even with the phone in silent mode, you can sometimes hear interference coming from the speaker whilst using apps (very, very quiet).
- Appears to be very resiliant so far, had it's share of a few knocks, and is taking everything that gets thrown at it.
- Battery life is good, used it for 3 hours browsing/using apps yesterday and sending frequent messages/calls and it easily lasted all day.

So far, reasonably impressed!

How do you get battery 100% displayed?

They offered that straight off the bat to me and I was asking for the SGSII which has more expensive plans than the Sensation.

I was doing it on behalf of my brother who is useless, ended up going for £30 p/m for 18 months, free handset (SGSII).
