Yes, you have an AMOLED Desire don't you? The LCD on the Sensation does look more blurry that that. Obviously this problem doesn't exist on the SGS2, and also I think the Xperia Arc has a great screen as well. Might be worth waiting for the Xperia Duo? I honestly thing the Arc is a better 'phone' than the SGS2 currently but being single core it will probably be a bit long in the tooth by 2012.

Yes earpiece, mic and speaker quality is miles better on the Arc in my opinion. I have two Galaxy S 2s and both are poor in that regard.

custom kernal and roms - os's are possible but unlikely

Is there any must have apps or anything I should download to get the best use out of my HTC? Anything to modify the theme or something? I just get the feeling I'm not yet making the most out of my HTC Sensation 
My Sensation has arrived 
Some initial tweaky questions whilst I get it set up how I want it:
a) On my Desire, shortcuts have a grey background behind the text under the icon. This means I can clearly read them despite a light coloured background. How do I do this on the Sensation, at the moment the text is white on a whiteish background.
b) On the clock Widget, the Desire says 'Tue, Jul 19' whereas the Sensation says '19/07' which I dislike. How do I change this?
c) Can I change shortcut icons? I have a shortcut to direct text somebody. On my Desire, the icon is a picture of this person, on the Sensation a quarter of the image is obscured by a stupid icon telling me its a text shortcut.

On a more serious note, is mine faulty or are they supposed to have a comically bad pink tinge to everything?
Comparing it directly side by side to two HTC Desires - one SLCD and one AMOLED - its absolutely woeful. Google Maps is comically bad - the menu bar is pink, not white! I didn't expect it to match the AMOLED Desire but surely it should be as good as the SLCD one?
I'll try and get a pic of all 3 later.
