***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

A full 24hrs of battery and its down to 16%. I guess I'm just used to the iphone where the battery would last for ages until it hit 90%, then drop like a stone. Still strange how it dropped so much.

Annoying issue though, I like to listen to music in bed from my phone, but when this one is charging, there is a very prominent buzzing sound through the headphones when left sitting on my bedside table. If I touch or hold the phone it stops, and when I take it off the charger it stops, I'm just wondering if anyone else can test this for themselves and see if they suffer the same problem? Its most noticeable at quiet bits like when a song is fading out, but I can generally hear it buzzing away throughout.

About a week ago, with light use, I got 60, yes SIXTY hours off one charge.

My battery life improved when I flashed the radio to a different version, and also I use what is not recommended, a "task killer", it's actually called autostart, and it stops all the apps from starting at startup and prevents them from starting again, I've got around 250-300mb ram free most of the time, not that I was bothered when it was around 125 free, what I was bothered about was the apps using bandwidth for no reason and consuming power.

I don't know if this Anker battery makes any difference compared to stock, I think most people it's psychological.

Just one niggle with Android Revolution. I cannot seem to turn vibration off for the 4 control buttons, home menu back search.

I'm pretty sure I had them NOT vibrating under the stock ROM, for some reason I can't be 100% sure about this but I am damn sure, and the vibrate is annoying me.

Anyone know how to turn this vibrate off? I've already turned off vibration for the keyboard.

Just tested this and I can not detect any buzzing. Have you tried other earphones?

It's definitely not the earphones I've just tried another pair, its really puzzling because I just have to touch the phone ever so slightly and it stops. It's only when I set it down...

Thanks for trying it out though :)

Help !!!!!!!!!!

Everytime i answer or make a phone call with my Sensation it defaults to the external loud speaker...:o

How do i change it to use the ear speaker as default ??

I looked through the settings about 10 times and can't see how to change this

i'm getting this recently as well, any ideas on how to stop it?

Mine did it. I rooted the phone and it stopped happening. This was before I put a custom ROM on as well. No idea if this would be the same for anyone else, but it worked for me.

 Am surprised that the Sensation shows so much more on the screen compared to the Galaxy S II

My Sensation has forgotton the word 'am' again in predictive text :(

Nothing will bring it back. I've tried adding it to the custom dictionary as well - it just wont come back.

Why do they keep doing this?

Just install the HTC IME Mod keyboard and use that if you prefer the look if HTC KB otherwise install a better keyboardsuch as Thumb Keyboard which also has its own dictionary and prediction engines.

A simple solution would be to type

pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

and delete the letters you don't need to leave am.

Can anyone help me with my email settings? When I get an email though, it pops up as a notification, but it doesn't show up as a missed email like calls or text messages do. When I open the email application it isn't there and it has to download before I can read it, ideally I'd like it to be waiting there when I open my emails if this is possible?

Did you get this sorted? I've now got the same problem using my rooted, LeeDroid Sensation (didn't have this on the stock Rom)
