***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

Yep all stock at the minute, WiFi connected all the time, emails sync every 10th minutes, no Bluetooth and brightness at around 40%. It's down to 96% but I've done some more browsing since my last post.

Sounds like the work of God to me! I have an Anker 1900 battery and its on its 5th charge cycle.

Some charges seem to do better than others but I'm down to 75% after 4 hours 48 minutes, Light usage, Few Texts, Few Calls, Few minutes trying a game, Wifi Been on here and there! No e-mail sync but sense and google sync are on etc.

For me, off the last charge running a custom rom and the Anker battery, I managed 2 days (6am Tuesday to 11pm Wednesday) and I still had 24% left when I plugged it in. That was with relatively light use over the two days but still included a couple of hours screen on time plus some calls. I can't imagine the stock battery ever lasting that long.

I get similar from the stock battery now its well calibrated.

In fact with light usage my stock battery didnt drop below 100% for 8 hours. Thats with 25 minutes of screen on time (bit of web browsing and a few texts).

With heavy usage I get a full waking day (roughly 17 hours) with up to 5 hours screen on time

Now its well calibrated I just make sure I charge it on the mains over night for aprox 7 hours with the phone turned off while Im sleeping.

The Sensation battery monitor is very off sometimes. I've had mine sit at 95%+ for ages and then all of a sudden it will drop rapidly. You just might not notice it if you're busy.

True. However Im now at 18 and a half hours up time with 1 hour 20mins screen on time and 70% battery left. I reckon my stock battery is right up there with the Anker boys :D

Is something wrong with my PC sound card, because I started playing songs via Spotify on my HTC to my speakers, and it sounds better, more clearer and crisp on the Sensation compared to the PC.

This is one thing that annoys me about Android you have a phone a short while then they tweak it and release another.

You know what's funny about that "limited" edition.

The CPU in the normal Sensation can run at 1.5GHz. It's the stock speed of that chip. HTC just downclocked it...

Sure, the bigger battery is nice. But the current phone is amazing as it is. And the camera mod on xda helps improve camera quality. And sound is decent enough as it is. So yeah, nothing there that's truly amazing.

Well my Sensation turned up today....anyone have any idea how to put the default android lock screen on? this pin is annoying me!

Only 4GB :( They might as well just left it with the stock 1GB
What is it with HTC and them always putting only small amounts of memory in there mobile phones

When S2 comes with 16GB & 32GB

4gb sounds good.

Then you've got the 8gb SD card that should come with it.

Well mine is being collected tomorrow by hp and they are putting a new case on it, 7-10 without tho :( I'm so used to using it instead of my laptop!!

Mine went back today to have dust under the screen removed. Don't really want to be without it for 7-10 days but nonetheless it's probably worth it.

Why are HP taking in your Sensation? :p

I wonder if HTC have any Touchpad stock!

Apologies for not reading the entire thread, but has anyone had a problem when using the camera that lines appear on the screen and it goes all grainy?

I recommended the phone to a friend (they didn't have a GS2) and feel kind of responsible for it working properly.

Taken the battery out and it's fixed now, just wondering if the problem will arise again.

Seems like it's a software thing so it's disaponting that HTC haven't released some sort of fix for it.

Yeah I had a similar issue. I sent my phone back to Vodafone to be repaired. When it happened again I was pretty miffed. I then tried uninstalling some recently installed apps and I found one of them caused the problem. I never worked out exactly which one it was but I haven't installed it since, whatever it was. :p

Lol, definitely a software thing then. He installed a boatload of apps as soon as he got it, and he's not particularly geeky so don't think he'll be too impressed if I tell him to uninstall them one by one till it's fixed! Hopefully won't happen again.

Really poor form from HTC not to have this fixed, seems as if it's affected quite a lot of phones.

Thanks for your reply.
