***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

Lol, definitely a software thing then. He installed a boatload of apps as soon as he got it, and he's not particularly geeky so don't think he'll be too impressed if I tell him to uninstall them one by one till it's fixed! Hopefully won't happen again.

Really poor form from HTC not to have this fixed, seems as if it's affected quite a lot of phones.

Thanks for your reply.
Yep, definitely a software issue. I only noticed it in the first place when I tried to take a picture of an electric appliance at work that had failed a safety check.

I'm geeky but I couldn't be bothered to work out exactly which app it was. I just removed apps I'd recently installed. I'd be willing to bet that the app causing the problem is a camera app.

Hmmm, I'll see if he has installed any camera apps and tell him to get rid of them.

Hopefully this will be fixed properly when ICS is released for it.

You could get a list of apps he's installed and post it here. I'll let you know what apps I had installed around the time of my problems and we might narrow the search down.

What is this ICS you speak of?:o

Anyone watch Film4 and the stupid adverts for the Sensation? Other than the fact they are really annoying they need to take a page out of Apples book and fake it a little... There is even juddering when flicking homescreens in the adverts... Terrible for an advert for a high end phone!

Yeah and pretend they invented something which has been around for years and cut out steps in demostrating the said thing to make it seems slicker then it actually is!

Perhaps not those bits...:p

Is the phone really that juddery on a stock Rom in real life?

(And no I don't own an Apple product but their adverts are slick if a little (read lot) condescending and annoying in their own right...)

He says FX Camera is the only camera app he's installed and he's gotten rid of it now, so hopefully this will be the end of it!

Thanks again.

what does that bring with it?

It unlocks the CPU to 1.5ghz like the XE mainly. Most of the new roms and kernals do the same though. Personally I really like the Bulletproof rom it has all the tat removed with some really usefully tweaks and the phone is really fast with it.

Latest firmware has introduced a hugely annoying bug.

A new feature allows you to take screenshots but it seems buggy in that often for no reason at all the Home key will turn into a Screenshot key following no extra input from me and refuse to do anything but take repeated screenshots until I double tap power.

Grrr.

Hey guys,

I have some quick questions please, as I'm thinking of getting it on the 12month contract for £79.99 for the phone, 400mins, 1000texts & 1GB data for £30 a month?

1) Can I ask who is using Hotmail on their phone, and is it true real time push email via exchange or similar (I used exchange on the iP4 but it never seemed to get emails quickly, normally a big delay)

2) Can you have multiple exchange accounts, and from the same provider, ie. Hotmail?

3) Does Hotmail exchange have full HTML emails or text only?

4) Are you generally pleased with the phone? If you have the choice again would you still buy it?

Cheers ears :)
