***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

Just log into Dropbox in this ROM and it'll give you 50GB free for a year!

ASOP is open source Android. It's Vanilla Android, mostly based on CM. Sense is quite bloated IMO, ASOP is lightweight and lightning fast.

install the leaked ICS rom then download dropbox and login, you'll then get 50GB free for 12 months.

AOSP = Android Open Source Project, this is the stock rom unmodified my any OEM but usually slightly modified by which ever group compiles the code.
unencumbered by bloat it's usually faster and more stable than the manufacturers rom.
AOSP ICS roms are still alpha quality and are unstable/missing features.

I like Sense. It does feel a *little* sluggish in this version compared to ArHD, but then so did the stock Gingerbread rom. I'm hoping to see a new version of ArHD based on this

I like the way Sense looks and moves, but just cant stand the sluggishness. Flashed loads of different Sense based roms and they're all just that tiny bit to slow.

I'm sure I read somewhere this new leak build was compiled about a month ago, so theres a good chance they're made some decent improvements since then. Hopefully a new leak is released soon.

Too many problems being reported with the early leaks.

Like what? I installed RCMix ICE yesterday and it's been absolutely rock solid so far. Only 'problem' is sense being a little sluggish, but other that that I haven't come across a single problem. I'll be flashing ArHD sometime today.

Oh right, presumably it uses some RCmix ICE code? Running it now, not a huge difference from the RCmix release, but it is a bit snappier.

A few problems for me.

Posting this from the phone, no spell checker in browser
Network signal none existant
Super user? Wont work for some reason?

Anyone else getting these problems?

Posting from it myself now, all working fine for me. I deliberately mis-spelt some of these words and watched it auto-correct them. Network signal is just as before (I'm on o2), and superuser seems to be working fine, I used My Backup Pro and it was granted superuser permissions and worked as expected. I can open the superuser app just fine.

Hell, I'm not even getting the wallpaper issue that others are reporting :/

Maybe I'm just extremely lucky.....

Edit: I have had the sense launcher crash a couple of times, but that's the only real problem I've found so far.

Sense is so bloaty. The roms are like 400mb compared to 180mb for an AOSP rom.

Compared to stock ICS, Sense looks really outdated and has imo removed all the nice things about ICS.
