Depends on who you talk to really dude. Technically it's the more powerful phone but people like different things.

How does the Sensation handle games like GTA3 with the high Res textures enabled?
 
How do you enable high res textures? It ran smooth at default but it looks cack.


Wonder if we can ever have Windows 8 on our sensations?

On Modaco Trip has released a new version of his AOSP rom.

It's so quick and responsive compared to all the other Sense based roms with ICS.

only con is the camera is not functioning yet.
 
Has anyone successfully installed any of the Sense based ICS Romsey?

I'm still fairly new to flashing Roms (although I've been successfully running Bulletproof for the last couple of months). I tried Insertcoin and all I got was Force Close for every application. All I did was:

- Superwipe
- Flash Rom
- Flash update
- Reboot, wait 10 mins for Boot to complete
- logged in and installed most of my apps directly from the market
- those that weren't listed in My Apps, I restored from Titanium Backup
- I restored most settings and app settings from TB

I tried rebooting, wiping cache/dalvik and fixing permissions but still continually got FC on almost all Apps.

Just installed this and I've got to say I take it all back about stock ICS vs Sense 3.5. The phone is so much more snappy, and stock ICS looks really nice 'in motion', it all flows beautifully. Impressed so far :cool:

welcome to how stock rom + GO Launcher feels on the SGS2 - snappy as hell and hardware accelerated goodness.
 
I might try ICS on next release from, I'm on Gingerbread with nosense at the moment, I've forgot why I'm not on ICS though and it's puzzling me.
 
Somehow managed to crack my screen on the top right hand corner. About an inch long :(

Curse my hatred of phone cases! I assume its an expensive fix? Touchscreen unaffected so it seems to just be the glass.
 
Been running the latest build of trip's AOSP ICS rom for nearly a week and despite the issues that need working out I'm totally converted, stock ICS is soooo much nicer, smoother and faster than sense. Sense really doesn't have any point any more.

You'll never go back now ;) every once and a while you'll think 'I feel like trying Sense' hoping that its quicker but after 10mins you'll be frustrated by the slight lag on everything!

Nope same for Samsungs touchwiz. Loving ICS ASOP feel on my SGS2
 
Just got a Sensation XE. The weather widget shows the forecast for UK. I added my town but it always defaults to UK on the home screen. Tried turning on wi-fi, gps etc. Any ideas please?
