Will be getting a base Pro as it'll cost me virtually nothing anyway. I have to admit though, the implementation of the AOD didn't seem quite like I'd want. I just want a clock and some notification icons, don't want the wallpaper etc.

Same, though with the hardware now in place, things like that could come in software. I'd love a super minimalist AOD, like you say, just the clock and lock screen widgets would be perfect.

I haven't seen mention of the "leak" that said we'd get the privacy indicators in the pill? That didn't seem to come up at all and I haven't seen it on the Apple site either.

I think what Apple have done around the notch by integrating it into the system is pretty clever. The name has the typical craziness but the functionality looks well done.

It is the sort of thing that Apple does the best, embrace the design and just make it work. I like it a lot.

Think I’ll be getting a 14 Pro and 14 for me and the wife. I’m coming from a 12 Pro and wife still rocking the 11 on a SIM only!

As others have said, ‘Dynamic Island’ is just lol. Typical Apple being Apple… But must say they have utilised that notch and made it quite nifty, I like it imo they’ve worked it well into something neat.

I was going to get the 14 pro, but the hiked price is a bit disappointing to be honest. Compared to the US price it’s a bit steep.

As a 12 Pro Max user on a 2 year cycle, I really wanted to give myself an excuse to upgrade but nothing really excites me.

Despite all the usual malarky we hear year after year about the camera and sensor upgrades, I'm sceptical as I'm still yet to grab a hyped new iPhone after release and get images in ProRaw that can in any way whatsoever compete with my fairly inexpensive Fujifilm X-T20 or the misses' Sony A7III - or any proper dedicated mirrorless/SLR for that matter. The images always look pretty good on the iPhone itself (except Portrait mode, that is terrible and usually makes a dog's meal out of the edges) but as soon as you flip open the Mac it's blindingly obvious they're taken on a smart phone.

Maybe I'm cynical and need to lighten up a bit but to me it just seems like they've executed yet another masterclass in how to market a product that hasn't really pushed things forward. Still, will look forward to the reviews and maybe on this particular model the camera genuinely is a significant leap forward and I will be proven wrong!
