**** The Official OnePlus 6 Thread ****

My thoughts on the lack of headphone jack in phones of late. I thought it would bother me at first but I found myself using Bluetooth earphones and headphines a lot more than my wired earphones.

So much so that I can count on one hand the number of times I've used the headphone jack on my OP6.

I use to be the same, but then one day, 1 hour into a 4 hour journey, the battery on my headphones died, even though I had charged it the night before. It's since happened a few times again, where my headphones weren't charged enough.

That's my issue - it's just giving me more things to charge, which means more things to replace when the battery dies.

Next headphones will be the B&O H9i, due to removable battery.

I get what you're saying with regards to more things to charge however I use both the Bullets Wireless earphones and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones which are superb in terms of usage and charging rates so don't really have that problem. I just whack them both on charge every other week or so.

With the newer headphones that use USB C it's much better - unified charging. However my Sennheiser's only use micro USB :(

That's true and a bummer that you need to keep swapping out. I would be annoyed that's for sure.

I've got my eyes on either the H9i or the 1000X M3 - not sure which support USB C audio though.

I had considered the B&W PX but they don't support passive audio!

Anyhow, I've been tempted by the OP6 time and time again, if only for the red.

I love red.

A lot.

I'm not too sure if the Sony headphones support USB C audio I always connect via Bluetooth.

You could always check with Sony support?

Unfortunately OP no longer stock the OP6 in red as it was limited edition.

Trust me it looks stunning in real life just as good as it does in pics as I sold my Silk White OP6 for the red one.

You could always buy one from an importer?

This website is very trustworthy. I have bought several devices from them before in the past.

My issue would be warranty :/ As far as I'm aware, OnePlus don't offer warranty unless purchased direct from them

Also, I'd miss the camera from the Pixel 2 XL too much :(

Fair enough....although the OP6 is no slouch either!

Check out this camera comparison here.

I've had a look at quite a few shots comparisons, and at night, I tend to use my RX 100, and in the day the Pixel seems much more consistent with immense dynamic range, and much better colours.

Not to mention the pretty consistent portrait mode

These photos were so close to the quality of the RX 100 that I don't think I'd take the risk with another phone. The OnePlus 7 will likely be enough, but then it won't be available on contract, and I'll likely have got the Pixel 3 by then on EE :/
