**** The Official OnePlus 6 Thread ****

Has anyone had an issue with their OP6 when it occasionally drops all signal/reception for a couple of minutes? Seems to be happening once every couple of days.

Those pictures are amazing. Best stick to what you know and like best.

Especially since the Pixel 3 is imminent

Don't get me wrong, you can find areas where the blur isn't 100%, but it's pretty close.

Normal photos are also often very good - especially when it comes to dynamic range. You can take a picture with the sun in the background, and you'll still get detail in shadows. Pretty awesome for this time of year :)

I have the basket open to order one of these, but after watching a few youtube videos and reading some customer feedback's I am now 50/50.

Minor issues but not going to stop me buy is no sd card slot, no official water resistance (but is unofficial), speaker placement not at front, but is at least on base so not at back.

Bigger issues perhaps

Phone large and also thin, be very hard to pick up, there is gel cases tho which should make this easier, they tend to make the phone sides much thicker and grippier as well as adding raised edges, so not touching side of screen by accident when holding.
Poor camera, particularly in dark, other 2018 phones now have wider aperture to help with darkness and this makes the oneplus6 feel antique on its camera.

Also at the time my s7 was running really bad which gave me the big itch, but I discovered switching back from a completely modded kernel to a slightly modded samsung kernel on my s7 was a game changer, previously it was in constant low ram state, causing issues, but now the kernel switch has reduced kernel memory usage by almost a gig so now now is plenty of ram for apps and the phone is way faster with no stability issues anymore. Although wont be as fast as a oneplus6 running an aosp rom.

O2 is the exclusive carrier for the phone, poor carrier but they also are gouging it, the contract value is hideous, there is a special offer right now for £519 for the 8/128 gig model direct from manufacturer, which comes with a cover and headset. My normal path would be to upgrade to newer samsung phone on EE wich has a £50 upfront fee plus £17-20 month premium on contract so about £458, I feel the s9 has the better camera, speaker but is inferior in any other way. Of course getting a phone on contract means the money is sitting in my bank for longer, the £519 I will be paying up front, so I need to think about it.

Anyone on here is welcome to sell me on this to ease me towards the purchase :)

Saying the camera is poor is wrong. It's a great camera and the phone costs a lot less than it's rival; that's the camera isn't as good as them.

This phone is by far the best phone I've owned. It's excellent. Camera is good enough for my needs. Plus OxygenOS is absolutely fantastic.

If this camera on the 6T performs well better than my 5T I'll pick this up over the pixel 3. I've enjoyed a number of the OnePlus devices over the years and this 5T is superb apart from the cameras hugely let it down. I'd even pay abit extra for a better experience.

I'll pass, you can pickup the Galaxy S9+ for £530 from Amazon and you get no notch and a headphone jack!

Who do OnePlus think they're competing with exactly?
