What are you currently using?
OP 3t, I'm actually happy with it for the most part, software updates a bit slower than I'd like, camera was never up to much but a nice screen, ample performance for my needs, a good size phone for me and a great battery (which I value highly). It did suffer from one really annoying bug where the screen would stop acknowledging touch input until restarted but it occurred maybe once a month so was never a huge problem.
It's not in good condition and I had to spend the money hence the upgrade...
I might be reading it wrong but are you unhappy with your choice of 6T, was it the best of a bad bunch for you?
A little of both maybe? I can't logically explain it, part of it is because I don't truly want to upgrade (but I have to), part of it is because I dislike notches (yet every brand has decided we must have them), part of it because I think phones are stupidly priced now and partly because I like to use my wired headphones. I know the latter is a minor point for most people but it does bug me still.
Wireless charging has its appeal but even the 10W charging is a bit of a grind. When I moved from Samsung (around S7 era) to the OG Pixel I didn't miss wireless charging one bit, the super fast wired charging was a much bigger benefit for me. I would like to have wireless but it's not a deal breaker for me.
If I lost dash charging I'd probably be whining about all the times I now suddenly need to quickly top up the phone but generally speaking I'm either stuck at a desk or out all day so being able to rest the phone on a nice stand and not worry about plugging it in and removing it is a tiny *tiny* benefit but it's a tiny benefit I quite like, I was already picturing having the 3XL on the (bloody expensive but nice) Google stand.
The price of the Pixels is scary for what we're getting. The 6T I think is worth every penny. I almost think if the 6T had come out as the Pixel 3 with a Google logo on it for £700 or £800 people would still pay it. So £500 I can live with.
I agree but this whole thing has been confusing for me, when I got the 3t I was super pleased, moving from the ******* awful battery on the Nexus 5 was worth it alone and I felt quite pleased at only spending £400 versus the £600 (or whatever it was) other brands were asking for theirs and now it's £500 for the OP but the others have shot up to £900-1000? Something feels wrong here.
It sounds stupid I know and I'm sure once I get the 6t with the latest version of Android and all the other improvements it will finally sink in that it's a great phone and a big improvement over my 3t but I almost feel like I've made a mistake somewhere, can't quite explain it.
