When I go into Access Point Names it has "O2 WAP POST PAY" wap.o2.co.uk does this seem correct? No APN was provided in the documentation.

Anyway is there any way to make the messaging icon open handscent instead of the default app?

Im a bit unfamilialr coming from a htc desire

What a screen though, and a very fast phone
 
Can people lis the following please as I'm interested in buying one
1. If their phone is unlocked
2. The Network Provider
3. The place of purchase

With Touchwiz? if so:
go to apps draw, press menu -> edit
Then locate the Handcent icon in the apps drawer bit and drag and drop over the messaging icon, seems to change it on mine...

Out of curiosity how do you rate the speed compared to the Desire, I came from a magic so it's massively quick, but the Desire is hardly a slouch really?

Yes, Unlocked
Orange through Phones4U

afaik only P4U and O2 have got phones out to people yet, P4U all unlocked, O2 mostly locked but can be unlocked for £15

Personally I'm not gonna bother flashing anything until proper custom rom/upgrades come out, or I get an 'official' update, probably me being overly safe though, odd considering I've been running an alpha Gingerbread on my old phone for months :p

Replace it with the handscent shortcut.
 
cant believe you still dont get a visual signal saying you have a message waiting for you when the phone is off/sleeping....or do you because i dont remember seeing anything
 
safe to say the wife is chuffed to bits with her phone that arrived today.

A total technology noob but she's already sync'd contact with new googlemail account, texting away, added apps etc - she's well happy - am I'm getting peace to watch the football!!
